Description
It’s a job that Maggie hopes will help launch a music career of her own, but Grace is too busy fighting to record a new album to notice her ambitions. Grace’s longtime manager Jack (Ice Cube) encourages her to take a Vegas residency but she'd rather record new music than get stuck in a rut, performing the same show every night. Maggie feels trapped in a thankless role and wants to produce. She feels this is ‘her moment 'but desperately needs an opportunity to prove herself.

This is what Summer 2020 needed! For the music fan this movie has the passion and attention to detail involved in the recording process, and for the 'drama' fan the characters navigate an uplifting series of plot twits and turns. Casting is spot-on, and the soundtrack is a breath of fresh air as well. Beyond being just a feel-good story, this film should age well.
