I have read plenty of books with the fake dating trope, but Toni Shiloh manages to put a new spin on it. This book has plenty of sweet romance, but also explores what it truly means to trust God in all areas of your life, even when it seems like things are falling apart. It challenged and encouraged my faith. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Nevaeh Richards and Lamont Booker enter into a fake relationship to save his movie career. He's a Christian actor and it doesn't look good to people that there was a picture of the two of them together. The media was talking about them and things were not looking good for his career, when they agreed to start dating. To keep from lying they actually do end up dating, but will that save his career. What will it do to her? She's only a simple hair stylist. She's not into glitz and glamour, she's into making people feel good about themselves, because of their great hair. Find out for yourself what happens when you pick up a copy today.

The Love Script has an amazing cast of characters and a plot that touched my heart and stirred my emotions. I laughed, I sighed, and I cheered for two people who want to remain true to their Christian beliefs while exploring the physical attraction that they're both experiencing. I loved the special relationship between Neveah and Mrs. Rosie, a client who is also Lamont's mother; and the text messages between Lamont and his friends are the perfect addition. This book has been labeled a RomCom and it's truly a delight for fans of Christian romance. it's witty, it's romantic, and it reminds us that standing up for our beliefs may be hard and it may be unpopular but it's definitely worth it! I received a complimentary copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.
Show-stopper!

Author Toni Shiloh has done it again, this time set in big-time Hollywood! This story about a fake (but also never-really-fake) relationship was excellently executed! Well beyond just being a fun time (though it was that!), this story portrayed a realistic faith and identity struggle, with conflicting thoughts and emotions that really set you to thinking. What things do we truly do for God? And what things do we only “say” we’re doing for Him, to justify what we’re really doing only for ourselves? Definitely both fun and thought-provoking (with plenty of movie-quote humor in between), this book had me enraptured and I am looking forward to the next “Love in the Spotlight” novel!

The Love Script is the first book in the "Love in the Spotlight series" and is also my first time reading a book by Toni Shiloh. The Love Script is a wholesome romantic comedy, that is full of depth and substance. A perfect read for summer, readers will be charmed as they experience the life of two people building a relationship under the microscope of Hollywood. Full of realistic moments and authentic struggles, The Love Script reminds you famous individuals are everyday people too! Toni’s inclusion of humor, pop culture references and character relatability will keep you on your toes and devouring this book quickly! I can’t wait for the next two books and am looking forward to seeing how Toni develops the strong, successful, spiritual male characters and their friendship, as our world needs more leading men, such as these, as role models.
So much fun!

Toni Shiloh has done it again! In her previous series In Search of a Prince, the author took us on a delightful journey to an island kingdom off coast of Africa with royalty, government intrigue, and sweet romance. In this new series, we get immersed in Hollywood - with the glamour, paparazzi, and heartache along with life-changing faith and slow, tender romance. Nevaeh's first person voice is refreshingly honest, compassionate, innocent and so easy to fall in love with. Lamont's third person voice is humble, thoughtful, and loyal - he's definitely a swoon-worthy hero. Their crazy fake dating scheme seemed a little over-the-top and fairy tale-like but how their relationship developed felt very real and believable. Their struggle as believers with something the world may regard trivial hit home - we are called to be holy because He is holy. I also loved Lamont's friendship with believing brothers Chris and Tuck and I hope the series will bring them to spotlight. Filled with memorable characters, fun and witty banter, and great life and faith lessons, this newest by Toni Shiloh will be the perfect beach read. I received the book from Bethany House Publishers via Interviews & Reviews and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.
