About the Author
FRANCIS A. YOUNG, PH.D. is former Head of Washington State University's Primate Research Center. During the course of his career, he carried out seminal research into the cause of myopia, ranging from vision studies of astronauts to the occurrence of myopia in Eskimo (Inuit) children who were being absorbed into the American school system, and the occurrence of myopia in twins and nonhuman primates. He published 95 research papers and received 11 honors including the American Optometric Association's Apollo Award for his myopia research. He is the author of Improve Your Vision Without Glasses or Contact Lenses.
