He has taught at Harvard University, University of Toronto, York University (Toronto), and St. Mary's University of Minnesota. Dr. Verny founded the Official Journal of the Pre and Peri-Natal Psychology Association of North America and the Pre and Perinatal Journal. He is a leading authority on the effect of the prenatal and early postnatal environment on personality development.
