Review Quotes

"I have been using The Singing Book for over ten years. It has so much information--anatomy, IPA, reference materials for songs, and how to practice--presented in an approachable way. I also like the collection of songs from different styles and genres. I cannot wait to put my hands on the new edition!"

"I love using The Singing Book. It is full of great repertoire in various genres and contains helpful illustrations of anatomy. I've used it in college classes and now I use it nearly every day in my high school job."

"The Singing Book appeals to a very broad range of singers, from the beginning choir singer to the budding rock musician."

"The Singing Book is an amazing textbook for my group introductory voice class! I love the variety of musical selections ranging from classical, musical theatre, and contemporary styles The 'Sing First, Talk Later' philosophy allows students to learn their vocal instruments through singing while discovering their breath, phrasing, posture, resonance, improvisatory skills, and confidence along the way."

"The Singing Book is fabulous! I use this book with my nonmajor voice class to help them begin the process of singing. I also use it in my pedagogy classes for voice majors so that they can discover new truths in their teaching. I love this book!"

"The Singing Book is the best book for new and seasoned teachers alike! It's so comprehensive and has something for everyone in the song repertoire. I am grateful for this resource, and I regularly recommend it to others."

"The Singing Book is truly the 'stranded on a desert island book' that every private studio teacher needs on their shelf. I have used this book in my private studio with singers from ages eight to eighty-eight! The book has something for everybody: standards, classics, foreign language pieces, pop songs, and lots of practical pedagogy."

"What a great book! Thank you so much for the sensible information, balanced approach, and fun repertoire."
