About this item
It takes police officer Rick Grimes a little while to figure out what's going on after he wakes up from a shoot-out induced coma in an abandoned hospital--even the corpse that nearly loses its intestines when it falls out of the elevator on him and the cafeteria overrun by bloody, decomposing monsters don't clue him in at first. But soon enough he puts it together. His town is completely overrun by zombies, and most people, including his wife and son, have fled to major cities for protection. So begins Robert Kirkman's comic book series about the struggles of the few human survivors of a devastating zombie plague. This volume collects the first six issues.
An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying future. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. Separated from his family, he must now sort through all the death and confusion to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living.

Having been both a huge comic book fan and a fan of the Walking Dead TV series, this was a must buy for me. It is great, even in black and white. Very satisfied and it is very cheap, so might as well buy here cheap or buy it somewhere else for a lot more.see moreof the reviewer's review
