About the Author

Uwe Baykowski is a highly experienced expert for modern and classic yachts and trained master boat builder, who has decades of sailing experience in the Baltic Sea, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Caribbean and in regatta sports. He also supervised the restoration of the pilot schooner, No.5 Elbe, which was launched in 1883, and he co-wrote this book with Anna-Marie Frick, a German skipper from Kiel.
