FINALLY I find this tiny useful ACCURATE simple device to get a real reading on my house's humidity. Bought 2, intending to put in different rooms or 1 in the garage, but for now, the 1st 2 days, both are on the fridge and read the same! Hurray! My old LaCross temp/humid/clock has never been right and dehumidifiers dont last but 2-3 yrs if lucky. Those are reading 75%, 63%, and 30%. No way. These little 2x3 inch things read 50-51% and that feels right. Came in a tiny bubblepadded envelope w USPS. Very simple and easy to use and a decent price of $10 ea. Hope they last forever bc I cant rely on anything else. No light but thats not an issue w nightlites or holding Ipad next to for viewing.

take the plastic off the battery
I got and unit and it did not turn on when I put the battery in. I put one of our own batts in and it worked. I had sent text to company and they responded by asking if I had taken the plastic of the batt. Had not even noticed it.
