Description
The FUNtainer® 16-ounce Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Spout keeps drinks cold for up to 12 hours. The double wall stainless steel construction is built to handle drops, dings and assorted roughhousing. Includes a soft touch carry handle, making it easy for kids to carry with them throughout the day. This 16oz. FUNtainer Bottle includes a redesigned spout for a more comfortable drinking experience and a locking ring to help secure the lid in place. Keep germs away with the hygienically covered drinking spout. To clean, you can pop your FUNtainer water bottle in the dishwasher; however washing by hand is recommended.

Q: Why is it recommended to wash by hand when it is dishwasher safe?

A: Washing on the bottom rack of a dishwasher can result in the design flaking off (I learned from experience!). If using a dishwasher, only use the top rack.

Q: Does the paint chip off in the dishwasher, on top rack, like the 12oz does?

A: When I wash ours on the top rack, the paint does not chip off. This may depend on your dishwasher and settings.

A: Yes you may use with warm water; use with warm water will not compromise material.

A: No, this water bottle has a spout lid. (However, the lid is interchangeable with the 12 oz FUNtainer straw bottle, but you would need to source a longer straw tube to fit the 16 oz.)

Q: I put the bottle and the cover in the top rack of my dishwasher. There are 2 silicone pieces in the cover. Should I remove the silicone pieces and wash too or leave them in place?

A: Hi Lori, you should remove the silicone pieces if your dishwasher's washing and drying setting is on high which could potentially distort the silicone pieces (if they fall from the top-rack). However, if your dishwasher's washing and drying setting is normal, you may leave them in place so as not to accidentally lose them.

My 8 yr old son loves the design! He needed an upgrade from the 12 oz and I am so happy Thermos had this 16 oz in Pokemon design. It is also straw less which we prefer due to my son biting the straws. We live in 100 degree weather and my son comes home with ice still in the water bottle. I wanted to love this cup, buuuut it just doesn't stay insulated enough to keep water cold. In our previous Funtainer 12oz thermos the ice would still be in cup after school, but with this one it melts in a few hours and leaves room temperature water. Defeats the purpose of having a thermos.

Dont have straw!!
I bought these for my 3 & 5 year old and these do not have straws. You tip these up to drink them and the spout is a huge hole. My kids drop their water bottle all the time. I do not want to clean up spilled water all day. This is basically an Owala without the straw. No thank you. Older kids it would be fine but it’s only 16 oz for older kids so I feel like they would be constantly refilling it. This water bottles seems to me made for smaller kids but it’s not kid friendly.

Very disappointed… this is obviously for kids. But my child accidentally dropped it in the parking lot on the first day of school and the top cracked making it not usable… it didn’t even make it into his classroom. He was so sad… A water bottle for kids should be more durable than this…
