Great for a while but not for long term use

We got this stroller just about two years ago. It was great for a while and perfect to keep in our car as our secondary ride for our son. However after regular use for 2 years, we are experiencing an issue with the front wheel locking up randomly. We can unlock it but within a minute, it will lock up again! It makes use frustrating as we cannot figure out how to get it to stop doing this. We did originally love the stroller but can’t confidently recommend it now.

Thank you for sharing your experience with your Thule Spring. I understand how frustrated you are with the front wheel issues. This certainly sounds like something that would fall under the Thule Guarantee limited lifetime warranty. A representative reached out for more information to see how we can best assist. More information on the Thule Guarantee and the warranty claim submission form can be found on the Thule.com Warranty Page: https://www.thule.com/en-us/about-thule/warranty

We LOVE this stroller so much. With city apartment living, space is extremely limited, and this was one of the reasons we went for the Thule Spring. The jogger-style wheels make for an extremely smooth ride, we were both pleasantly surprised with how well this stroller handled! The canopy is UPF protected and comes down super low for naps, but we can still check in on the babe with the mesh panel at the back. Also, for those with toddlers, the sides of the stroller are DEEP, so this means that little hands can't spread wide and get caught on doorframes, etc. Our only caveat is that we wish the basket was bigger as you can't hang the diaper bag in the back if the seat is fully reclined. But otherwise, an amazing stroller design!
Pretty good overall, but room for improvement

After about a week, we love it. Using this in a city to replace a Graco Modes travel system that wouldn't steer very well. The wheels are great, the roll and turn smoothly, and they seem to be made of a durable rubber that will last. removing the wheels is easy, so if we wear them out, I'm hoping that getting replacements will not be a problem. The canopy is excellent, huge shade, and we were caught in the rain the other day and water beaded off. Storage underneath is ok- bigger than some, easy access to the basket, but I'd like to see it built better. I hate the buckle. Our kid likes to sit up, and we haven't been using shoulder straps for months, but this buckle is designed that you have to attach the shoulder straps in order to secure the waist straps, I haven't seen this elsewhere. The stroller doesn't come with a tray or grab bar, which our kid likes, and seems like a greedy way to nickel-and-dime customers, considering they're just molded plastic. The tray that's available is small and the grab bar seems to be weirdly up toward the child's face, rather than out in front. we're going to order one and figure out what works. We do love the adjustable handle though, and the whole thing folds very small. Unfortunately, after a lot of research, it seems that no manufacturer has a stroller that gets everything right, this one is pretty good though.

So far so goodm haven't been able to use it with baby yet, but it came with all parts and was easy to assemble, it glides nicely and is easy to make it compact, I will say it is a bit bigger than I had imagined, but also okay with it as its still quiet compact for how sturdy it is and will be on different terrains
Fantastic Stroller. Car seat attachments a must ha

I bought this so we would have an easy to travel stroller for the back of the car. Awesome purchase, with the attachments so the car seat can fit straight onto the stroller makes going places so much easier.

We were looking for a mid-range stroller to use a "daily driver" for lots of suburban walking, and chose the Thule Spring because it seemed to do a little bit of everything - more robust than travel/lightweight strollers, lighter than other full-size strollers, good maneuverability, mid-range price, sharper look than some similarly featured strollers and well-reviewed on Baby Gear Lab. Overall, I'd choose differently if doing it again. It's been fine for the most part, but doesn't feel particularly solid. After nine months of regular use, the front wheel has just started locking randomly as I'm pushing it. I'll unlock it, and two minutes later it clicks locked again. It's very annoying and we'll be looking for a replacement if we can't figure out a reasonable fix.

I've had the stroller for a month now, well built, easy to use. Under seat storage is great and a good size for use to visit parks or head to the shops. The pocket on the back of the seat is perfect keeping small items within reach.

Very smooth ride. The reason I gave it 4 starts is the plastic round side piece has already broken off where the cupholder goes. I also find it frustrating that the leg rest doesn't come with the stroller and it has to be purchased separately.

This stroller is awesome! We tried two different brand strollers before ultimately getting this one. Our daughter loves being in it and seems comfortable (we bought the optional seat padding and the leg rest which are worth it imo). The one handed fold out is awesome and the weight of this stroller is surprisingly light! Im a 5’3” petite woman who’s not particularly strong and I have zero issues carrying it around or lifting it while holding my daughter (who is now 19 lbs). We’ve taken it on flights and it was a breeze to travel with. We got the bag for it to keep it from getting scuffed and to make it easy to carry around the airport and that’s also been awesome. This is also our main and only stroller and we haven’t found a need for any others in the year or so we’ve had it. It does well on gravel, asphalt, grass, and even sand (uphill sand is a bit tougher but doable). It’s just a wonderful practical multi purpose stroller. Highly recommend! Its an underrated gem imo but can more than compete with the major stroller brands. I personally like it much much better than the two other brands we tried!

The only thing that bothers me is the creaking/squeaking of the frame? Not sure where it’s coming from exactly but it’s annoying and somewhat embarrassing. I love the stroller and how nicely compact yet huge basket on the bottom. Just hate the sound it makes after using it a couple times?
Many inconveniences

For context we have been using a yo-yo stroller from birth to three years old. We have been City based with no car and so we rely on strollers constantly. Moving to a snowy winter climate (still city) meant a stroller with bigger wheels was needed. We bought an urban glide 2 but found the width too inconvenient for city use. However I felt the Thule build quality, simplicity of moving parts and fabric components were great so we switched to the Spring. The lack of a rear axel seemed really suited to slushy/snowy days. The weight and width seemed great for everyday use. I still love the build quality but find a few major omissions on this unit which baffle me given the standards out there. First solid tires with no suspension or shock absorption leaves our kid bouncing all over the place. Next while the lower basket is super convenient without a rear axle or crossing support bar, there is then a mesh net (for the rain cover I suppose,) but no convenient zipper pouch near the top — which is a must for privacy and safety in busy moments within crowded city spaces. Then the footrest and rain cover. I have read that the narrow fronts on Thule strollers is down to structural strength which comes from the curve. The sad result is that your kids legs, if they are toddler age and even within the recommended weight limits of the buggy, slip off during transport, leaving their calves pressing on the sides of the buggy. Made worse of course by the bumpy ride. Then try the rain cover. With flimsy Velcro at the back, and no proper anchor points anywhere! The fit is odd- you use the sun shade half way down, but it closes further under the stretch of the rain cover, requiring fiddling around. The foot area slips over the bottom loosely and easily, but with no attachment points it super easily keeps popping off. And if your kid moves their feet at all… it pops off again. Anyone who lives in real weather knows you have to set it and forget it, not keep stopping to readjust a rain cover over and over. I can imagine it’s going to fly back and hit me in the face with any headwind. The last gripe is unfolding. the stroller sort of stands, if you get the handle extended just right. But mostly you need to lean it against something. Then when you go to unfold… there is no simple hold and lift type operation. We find ourselves coaxing it to unfold, bending and lifting the front and back together. There may be some trick we have missed but it’s not simply or easy on your back. All in all - so super disappointed with this unit after we can see that Thule is a great maker of gear — especially for cold weather climates. Very confusing buggy. The name is spring - and it does seem suitable only for very small kids, in the best weather, on smooth surfaces, when you might start to get your money’s worth.

I’ve been using the The Spring stroller for almost a month now. Absolutely love! I purchased this following a recall of our previous stroller from another brand. This is an Incredible stroller compared to our first one, so easy to fold and the ride is so smooth walking around our neighborhood and some trails near us - my 9 month old loves the seat. I grab this stroller repeatedly! Love it! The dusty rose color is so beautiful too - almost more of a neutral beige/blush color. Can’t wait to get many more years of use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stroller is by far the coolest we’ve ever had. The easy open and easy collapse is a must for parents and is extremely helpful in every way. the fabric is nice and comfortable. The canopy is awesome and I like the mesh part so I can see my little one. And it comes down nice and far to get the most coverage from sun or wind. The straps are adjustable and comfy, and my baby is super secure. There’s plenty of storage down below for stuff. The ride is extremely smooth and the wheels are amazing quality. And the best part is that my baby is 9 months and I’ll be able to use this for many years to come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love how lightweight and compact this stroller is. It makes it so much easier to carry and pack and unpack. I like that the seat is reversible. The grey color canopy looks sharp and doesn’t show dirt. I am able to unfold and fold the stroller with one hand, how awesome. When pushing the stroller is rolls very easy and smooth. The stroller is very well made and sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Thule spring stroller is a very nice, very chic jogging stroller. I love how compact this stroller folds up to be. It rides extremely smooth as compared to any other stroller I have used. The handle bar on the top can come up and down to your preference. The hood comes down very low to block the sun from babies face. The seat reclines pretty far back. Overall wonderful stroller and wonderfully made.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality, convenience, and luxury! Everything you could possibly need in a stroller! The first plus is it is so lightweight! It is easy to maneuver. You can change the direction of the seat so that you can see your baby or when the get bigger you can let it face forward so they can explore! You can also pull the top down to provide more coverage for the baby from the elements. There is a large basket that allows you store essentials. This is not your ordinary stroller!

It’s compact and I am amble to carry it with one hand. I love the basket on the bottom. It is super smooth when walking. The handle is nice to grip. My hands appreciate that! It is super quick and easy to strap my son into. Overall it was absolutely worth the price!

We got this stroller because we live in a Northeast US town with uneven sidewalks and long winters, though so far we’ve used in the summer it has worked great for us. A (relatively) smooth ride over sidewalk bumps and it has worked well on dirt roads, gravel, grass and sidewalks. Also, we were pleased to find out that the Chicco Carseat adapter works with the Chicco Keyfit 35 carseat - we weren’t able to confirm before buying - and the combo has been great for our newborn! Found the cup holder attachment to be smaller than expected.
