Tea provides less than 5% of the daily recommended intake of any major nutritional category (Calories, Fat, Carbs, etc) so at the moment any numbers we provide you are an estimate as the FDA does not require the same kind of nutritional labels for tea as most foods and beverages. The pieces that have cane sugar after them, we use that cane sugar to help with preservation. While there are ingredients that list cane sugar as a sub-ingredient, the sugar content is fairly minimal. Keeping that in mind, we do have some general guidelines to help you understand your intake. For teas that have a fruit listed as the first ingredient or that have Cocoa Nibs, you can estimate that it has about 5-10 calories, 1 gram of carbohydrates and 1 gram of Sugar per 8oz serving. The variation is dependent on how much fruit is in the tea, the more fruit the higher it’ll be on the spectrum. For teas that have chocolate chunks (not cocoa nibs) in them, we can estimate them to have about 15-30 calories with 2 carb and about 2 gram of sugar. For any of our other teas, we can estimate that they have about 0 calories with 0 carbs and 0 grams of sugars.
