Q: Can the towel rack be placed on the other side of the cart? Also, what parts are solid wood and what parts are composite wood?

A: No the towel rack cannot be installed on the opposite side of the unit. The sides, back, shelf, drawer base, and door are made of MDF & Veneer. Base & dividers are made of Beech wood, MDF & Veneer. The top, aprons, drawer front & back, legs and towel holder are solid Beech wood

Q: can you leave the wheel casters off and use it without those?

A: Winsome would not recommend leaving off the casters as this was not tested for stability without casters.

I agree with the others who said this is difficult to assemble. I have put together a gas grill, entertainment center, electric fireplace, desk with hutch, etc and I could not get this together. After 3 hours of trying, I only had 3 pieces together. Thank goodness for my future son in law who finished it for me. I really like the cart: I am using it as a coffee station: keurig and pod choices on top and coffee accessories on the shelves and in the cupboard. Nice looking cart.

Great office Snack Station Cart
I got this cart as a snack station in my office and it's great. We keep our keurig on top and extra k-cups in the drawer. I also have snacks and back up snacks on the shelves. It's perfect for us.

Great cart once it is put together
Unless you have 4 arms you will definitely want an assistant for putting this together. In the first few steps there are multiple pieces that need to be held in place while screws are put in. There are no words on the directions, but once you get a basic understanding of what needs to happen the pictures provide an accurate guide. One of my pieces was chipped, but I was in a hurry to get this put together and didn't want to wait for a replacement, so we were able to patch it up and luckily it is in a spot where it doesn't really show. Once the cart is put together, it looks really nice and has great storage while also providing an additional prep area for a kitchen that doesn't have a lot of counter space. I only put this together last week, but so far is seems pretty sturdy, the casters rolled easily so it seems like it will be easy to move around to use for different things. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Bought this cart for a coffee cart at my daughter's veterinary clinic. It went together well and looks fantastic. It's very sturdy and looks great in the receiving area.
