Street Series Djembes from Toca Percussion are hand-carved from one piece of eco-friendly, plantation-grown mahogany. This instrument has a kiln-dried shell with 20 coats of teak oil, which protects and preserves the wood. Ideal for beginners, every Street Series Djembe is outfitted with a hand-selected goatskin head, and authentic rope tuning.

This one star review is for the 3rd party seller (musician’s friend/guitar center) and not the djembe itself. We ordered two of the same Toca djembes. One arrived perfectly brand new in an intact box. It is beautiful and sounds beautiful. The second one arrives in a busted box with a completely used and dirty drum head. The tuning rope around the drum head has places it is worn so much it is torn. Either this djembe has been used and returned and then sent to me or it a floor model also heavily used and sold to me with a brand new price. I do not appreciate the time it takes on my end to order and then speak to target customer service to get a return request and then have to take this drum back to the store. I want two djembes so I will order another and pray that this time, they send me a new drum as that is what I am paying for.
