Tovolo King Cube Ice Mold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of these is a little bulky for my liking as it takes up a lot of space in the freezer for four ice cubes. However, the size of the cubes is very nice and they last really long! It’s also easy to clean which is a plus. I’ll definitely be using this all summer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a bourbon drinker, I always appreciate large, slow-melting ice cubes. I was very excited to try this at home, as my large ice cube tray never produces clear ones, and I would like to experience this esthetic. While it worked (for the most part), I found the entire process and apparatus cumbersome. It took me a total of 15 minutes to clean, assemble, and fill (5 of those minutes were filling the tray with a slow trickle of water through the tiny tube in the middle, maybe a funnel is a better way?). When we were ready to enjoy, we noticed that the cubes were clear…but the topside, where the single hole on the mold was, was freezer burnt. This was alleviated as soon as we poured liquor, but it’s just something to note. I did appreciate how easy the blue silicone molds store in the freezer (since we didn’t want to use all 4 at once). But initially, you need some room for the black Styrofoam insulated shell and base tray. All in all, I’m not sure how often I’ll be using these. I would say definitely when I have company coming, but if it’s just my husband and I, we will probably skip the large clear and grab the regular ice from the freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband loves this product! It's super easy to use. Just fill it up, freeze, and then unmold and enjoy! The king ice cube lasts a while, too, and keeps the drink cool without watering it down.

It made nice clear square ice cubes that lasted a long time in my drinks. This is made very well so it should last a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start with saying it works overall. It made 4 large ice cubes. Mine were not crystal clear but the instructions say to change your freezer setting and I'm not that worried about it. It feels pretty solid and overall easy to use. Now for a big negative, this thing is huge. When put together it takes up a large amount of space for 4 ice cubes. Also there is a bottom try that fills with water that freezes and is a big waste of water in my eyes. Overall it does what it says, but is it worth it? For me not really.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first ice mold I own that makes the most clear ice. They are bigg when they say king sized so you only need one at a time to use. It holds upto 1L of water for 4 clear cubes and you get the unclear tray at the bottom. Very perfect for cocktails and even just drinks. The only thing is it is a little spacious for my freezer and you have to use some effort to get it out.

It is easy enough to use I would however recommend a funnel to help fill up otherwise it’s a little messy. The ice cubes like ok nice in a drink but there is so much left over ice in the mold but no easy way to remove it. Had they figured how to effectively use all the ice it would have made a huge difference, but unfortunately it stays stuck on the bottom part of the mold. I mean it does what it’s supposed to do but they should have put more thought on the design and functionality. . I would not recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design makes it very easy to load the cubes but hard to understand when you’ve filled it enough without overflowing. The way everything comes apart makes cleaning very easy! It is quite bulky so you have to have the space for the styrofoam in the freezer but the cubes themselves are a good size and allow for many different cup options.

It comes with an insulated foam base and it's super easy to fill the tray just by filling one filtered tube. It does take a long time for the cubes to freeze, but it's very impressive. All my friends were very excited when I served them a drink with one giant cube in them that melted so slowly..

The packaging is very good and the quality is amazing, I can tell that it will last for a long time. Parts can be taken out and are easy to clean. You can use this ice in so many ways, but ultimately, it will be my husband's bar buddy.

The design needs a second look, if you have any hand conditions such as arthritis or older in age you may have a hard time once frozen to get them out. The cleaning was easy but the time spend making 4 ice cubes is not worth it for me. No versatility due to the amount of liquid needed that is unusable makes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ginormous block ice cubes. The ice mold is very solid and molds a perfect square cube. I use these perfectly clear cubes, and they last like way longer than a normal ice cube. Love this ice mold!

The large cubes look great and are perfect for keeping drinks cold without watering them down too quickly. The silicone tray is flexible and makes it easy to remove the cubes, and the lid is a nice bonus to keep things clean in the freezer. I’m giving it four stars because it does take quite a long time for the big cubes to fully freeze, so you need to plan ahead if you want to use them. But overall, I’m happy with the purchase and excited to keep using it! Definitely recommend if you want slow-melting, oversized ice cubes for your drinks.
