The menthol is not overpowering but is just enough to smooth a sore throat and calm any coughing. The taste isn't bad, but it is a cough drop, so it doesn't taste like candy either. It's smooth like any other cough drop and dissolves just the same. Overall, it's not bad.

I used these lozenges when I had a severe cold and my throat was very dry, especially at night from the constant cough. From the first lozenge, I felt refreshing relief thanks to the eucalyptus and mint; it didn't completely cure my cough, but it did calm the irritation quite a bit and allowed me to sleep better. I liked that they're made with organic ingredients and don't have an artificial flavor, although they're a bit more expensive than other brands.
