Love this product

I've never regretted purchasing this DVI adapter from Tripp Lite. It is easy to use and produces beautiful results. I don't even need to install drivers as this is truly a plug and play device. What more could one ask for…ease of use and wonderful results. The reputation and reliability of Tripp Lite is icing on the cake. I highly recommend this product.

It's working as desinged.
This product works great, but I had to buy a DVI cable. My existing adapter has 3 connection types, VGA, HDMI and DVI and it's slightly bigger than the Tripp-Lite adapter. Given that we have so many different machines with different connections, it would be best to design a multi-use adapter. If you already have the DVI cable, then it's a perfect fit for your machine.

I am using this adapter to connect my laptop to an external monitor. It has worked great so far. I just wish the build quality was a little higher.

I work in Gov't IT, where TrippLite is fairly ubiquitous. I typically associate TrippLite with its phenomenal surge protectors and robust customer service, but I'd never tried any of their network gear or peripherals so this was a first for me. I was invited to try this new product, which was provided to me at no cost. I was not obligated to provide a positive or negative review, and was permitted to keep the product. There's not much to say about the adapter functionally - it does what it says it does. Aesthetically, it is a typical TrippLite product - function before design, but robust-looking and with thoughtful features: (1) the cable strain is typically what fails on these adapters, and this one feels pretty secure; (2) Cable isn't supple or Apple-like silicone but doesn't feel flimsy - looks like it could take a tug; (3) the screw terminals are steel, and are integral to the female DVI port. I was pleased to see the necessary information and conformity statements right on the product. I can't comment on its long-term performance, but out of the box it met my needs and did what it said it would do. I will update this review if I see any issues in the future.
