The Tripp Lite® by Eaton® Protect It!® 3-Outlet Surge Protector with 2 USB Ports and Desk Clamp features 3 NEMA 5-15R outlets and a surge suppression rating of 510 Joules to protect your components against surges, spikes and EMI/RFI line noise that can damage sensitive electronics and destroy data. Plus, 2 USB ports with 3.1 amps of combined power can charge your mobile devices. It is recommended for home, office, workstations, dorms, and hotel rooms. Love this product! Maybe life changing is a bit of an exaggeration but I travel regularly for business and came to hate crawling under my office desk to plug or unplug my laptop's power cord. Having the power outlets on the desktop is a benefit that just keeps on giving.

I'm on a hybrid work schedule (3 day in, 2 days out) so I'm plugging or unplugging my laptop at least twice a week. I got tired of feeding the power cord down behind my desk then crawling underneath to plug it in. This is a perfect solution. Makes the power outlets easily accessible. Charging ports are a bonus.

I use this on my sit/stand desk which faces the door so you see the back of the surge protector. It is not the most stylistic clamp-on surge protector with the screws and back but functionally works great and feel better knowing it is made in US and UL rated.

So far, I am very happy with this product. Works as expected, good solid build quality. The only problem I had was with me, not the product: when I first received it, I assumed the unit would fit into the clamp by friction and was not sure what the screws were for. After a few minutes of fumbling, I read the directions and discovered the unit screws to the other side of the clamp. I love using the top part to hold my cell phone while it is plugged into one of the USB ports. Only possible improvement would be to integrate fast charging technology.

My only outlet near my 6' workbench was underneath. Got tired of bending over to plug and unplug my tool chargers and workbench light just to get a useable outlet for the shop vac. This 3-Outlet Surge protector is a great idea! To avoid taking up space the unit is mounted on the back corner of the workbench, see the photo attached. Mounting was a snap and very secure. Now the workbench light stays plugged in below the workbench and the chargers stay plugged in on top and there is an outlet for the vac. The usb ports are a bonus, I don't have to take the bicycle lights into the house to charge them. Great product!
Definitely a great purchase, for peace of mind especially.

All metal, power strip connects securely to the base with screws. Very solid construction, I would purchase this again. Love the little caddy for charging your phone with the USB ports.

This does what it needs to do, give you clean power and to protect your electronics from surges. Its well made and the outlets are tight so you don't get no lose/fallout of your wall warts. Also has great spacing of the outlets!
