Leaves don't dissolve well in beverages or baked goods, so we extract the sweetness from the stevia leaf. Because stevia leaf extract is 200x sweeter than sugar, we balance the sweetness with erythritol, a sweetener produced by fermentation. Erythritol is also found in fruits like grapes and pears. This gives you the white crystals you're used to without the calories. This 80-count box is just the right size to fit on your counter or in your pantry.

MAKE THIS PKG TO OLD ORIGINAL SIZE , too small for older people to handle small pkg . Product is good but loaded with poor mkt . Mgr in the company . FIRE ALL OF THEM . Packet sealer problem
The picture of the box listed is the 4th box of sugar I have bought with packed that were not completely sealed. Being a retired Federal worker maybe it's time for the FDA to do a plant inspection. I really love you product and don't look forward to looking for a substitute but I am getting close to having to do that. This is the second time I have sent this.

I was very disappointed to open my first smaller packet today and a big portion of the product ended up on my counter. There's a reason sweetener packets have been a standard size for years. Did you all skip the testing phase during redesign? That seems like an obvious step in making such a drastic change. I will be changing sweetener products if you don't bring back larger packets. Now I have to suffer through opening these awfully re designed packets 79 more times. Sure would have been nice to have a message on the OUTSIDE of the box so consumers knew of the big change before they purchased. Only gave one star because no stars weren't an option.

I have preferred Truvia for many years, but this new abbreviated packaging has just made it impossible to continue using. The new packaging has made it hard to open, and the mess it now leaves on the counter adds an additional chore, so no thanks, I'll switch to another stevia product. Sorry you messed this up.

I enjoy the product and you would have gotten 5 stars, except I don't like that you made the package smaller. When I open the small packages now I make a mess, I have arthritis in my hands. So if you did it to reduce your cost, this wasn't a good idea.

Truvia is one of those products that makes you feel like you’ve hacked the system: sweet like sugar, but without the sugar baggage. Except… it also kind of tastes like sugar’s distant cousin who shows up at the family reunion trying really hard to fit in. In coffee? Not bad. In baking? Depends on how much you like your brownies with a side of “what’s that aftertaste?” It’s sweet, it works, but it’s also a little too eager—like it wants you to know it’s healthy. Bottom line: it’s sugar’s quirky understudy. Great for cutting calories, but maybe don’t expect it to win a Tony for Best Performance in Chocolate Chip Cookies. 🍪

Packet size
As others have said packet size change was a mistake. After reading some comments and responses i see you are standing by you choice. I'm all for reducing waste, but in this situation you have sacrificed function. This creates a waste for the end user because of spilled product and also a time wast for clean up. Again, poor judgement by whoever made the decision to reduce packet size.

Small packets - deal breaker!
I’ve been a loyal Truvia customer, consistently purchasing the 400-pack for years—until the switch to the smaller packets. It’s disappointing to be reminded with every use that customer feedback about the new size continues to be ignored. After waiting patiently for a return to the original packet, I saw no change. Regretfully, I’ve decided to switch to Splenda Naturals Stevia, even though it costs more, simply because they offer a normal-sized, user-friendly packet.

I have used trivia for a long time. Since they reduced the pacer size, I don’t have enough room to open without spilling and making a real mess. Unfortunately, I have changed brands. Is it worth the paper saving to lose customers?

Reduced envelope size…. Cost
I have used Truvia for sometime… I still used it as a sugar substitute …. What is the savings by go to a smaller envelope…. I have had an operation that makes opening the envelope harder for me… just anFYI

New Packet
I hate the new packet! All of your responses say you are using the smaller packets to reduce paper without jeopardizing customer experience… But you did jeopardize Customer experience! As many others have said, product spills and it is hard to open for older people. I guess I will buy a different brand.

Truvia packets have been removed from my shopping
Immediately noticed the Truvia packet size had been made smaller. Those of us who deal with thumb arthritis struggle with opening many food products like lunch meat packets, jars, and lift top tabs. Thus we jab holes into the products with knives and cut the items out of hard to handle packages. After trying to make a lunch meat sandwich with a new and hard to open package of turkey breast and a new jar of mayonnaise, out of frustration I threw all of the items back into the refrigerator, deciding not to eat and not to purchase items that were frustrating to open. Add Truvia to that list!

The taste is not the same
Since they changed the packets in size, the flavor is not the same, it is bitter. This was my go to sugar and now I have to change to another brand. This is very disappointing. If you do change back to the original recipe, let me know. Until then, I am done with this product.
