Good sound speaking and quite loud. It is a little heavy to lug around for me so i keep it in the sunroom.

We love visiting beaches and floating in the water with our favorite tunes, but it's been hard to find a speaker that floats, and its sound isn't affected by waves. It's also been difficult to find one that enables you to have decent range from your bluetooth source. The only downside to this speaker is the weight. For flying, every ounce counts when weighing your luggage.

Big bass, zero distortion, reliable and efficient connection!

They never disappoint. This is my third device and great for the house or back porch. The mega boom my wife keeps in her classroom and the boom 3 fits perfect in the cup holder at the beach or in the golf cart.

I'm very happy with the speaker. I was expecting a little more loudness out of the top end, but I'm greedy like that. I wanted a bigger speaker that is still portable, which is why I chose the epicboom. I think it sounds good. You can hear different sounds playing distinctly, and it plays music well. I would recommend this speaker.

The megaboom speaker I bought 10 years ago has better sound quality than this one.

I purchase my epicboom to replace a previous speaker and I have been very satisfied with the size and sound so far. I have only used it indoors to this point but it’s fills the room with sound. I have tried to “party up” with a friend’s megaboom via the UR app and it has not worked. This frustration as well as the price are the only points of frustration I have with my speaker.

I’ve been using UE since the original BOOM. I’ve also had the MegaBoom. The EpicBoom exceeds them both, by far. When I first got it, it had a terrible static sound with bass notes at mid volume. After I updated the firmware, that went away. As I have put hours on the speaker, the woofer has opened up and its output is much more clear and warm than it was new and the bass notes have extended to deeper octaves. It packs easily in a suitcase, although it’s heavy (4.35lb) and on the larger side, the sound output and clarity is worth it when I travel. Also fits easy in a backpack carry-on. Putting it in the corner of a room amplifies the sound perfectly if you’re looking for more output, the tweeters play out the sides and the bass notes are 360°. The only speaker better than the Epic is another brand that is the size of an old school boombox and is impossible to travel with. This is the largest you can go and by far sounds better than the other major brands.

The speaker gets plenty loud in a room or even outside by a picnic table. I love the 360 degree sound feature. The app controller is nice as well.

I had an original Boom and have been looking at upgrading for awhile. When I saw the EPICBOOM I had to get it and it did not disappoint. It is a little bigger but still small enough to travel with and packs a punch.

I was skeptical when purchasing this speaker initially, but I can honestly say it is impressive. There is some distortion at max volume, but I have never needed to run this speaker anywhere near max volume. Usually 75% will be enough to be heard clearly through my house and the outdoor feature only boosts the capability. The case is well built with rubber impact points and the magnetic strap is a nice touch. It has been great for outdoor events and listening throughout my house. The "Party up" feature on the app is also extremely useful allowing multiple speakers to be paired for a full stereo or surround sound feel, depending on the number of speakers paired. There is a fair amount of bass, but with the size I'm not surprised since a 4" or 6" sub would cover the majority of the speaker. The battery life is definitely noteworthy and the speaker has exceeded my expectations. The added mesh "backpack" carrying case is also nice for moving the speaker to and from any location you wish to go. Definitely a great purchase and as always, Ultimate ears has definitely hit the mark for an outdoor speaker that is built to last.

So far impressed with the sound and battery life. Have been suffering from Bluetooth connection issues from out of the box. Have tried troubleshooting to no avail. Also, have been disappointed that I cannot use my Epicboom AND 2 Megabooms in Stereo mode together without the stereo pair reverting to standard party up mode.

We have had several UE Booms over the years and this is by far the better version. We are a lifetime customer of the UE Booms!
