Quick response and easy to use
We purchased the Roku Ultra as an alternative to using the default apps on our TV. We encountered delays when trying to change channels or switch apps. The load times were frustrating but the Roku Ultra has been a game changer with quick loads and fast response times. If you’re using the default TV apps and experiencing delayed response times, Roku Ultra is for you. We definitely recommend.

Defective
We’ve been using this for 6 months this and it has completely stopped working. The device will no longer recognize our WiFi and Roku customer service is not supportive. We loved it before this issue.

Why Roku?

My son gave me ROKU Ultra for Christmas😊. I moved my old one to my bedroom. I love the fact of I can charge my remote and it last a long time. Unfortunately, the voice command doesn't always work when you request to pause or resume movie. At times, while watching a movie, I get a pop up message: "Listening" when I didn't say anything? Overall, I love it!

I had such an old slow roku that I didn't realize how old and slow it was!! This new roku is wonderful. Great speed and multiple settings you can try. I do have a small problem that I'm trying to work on but otherwise a great device

Good for only 1 year
Adds some nice options for shows in addition to what we have with our streaming provider, but now after only a year it is crashing several times a week. it also freezes continuously when fast forwarding or rewinding. There is no support from the company whatsoever. Don't plan on buying another. The company should have some sort of support. Since they don't we won't support them!

Roku Great for Steaming
I now have 6 Roku and last two have rechargeable remotes which is nice improved feature....no lag in streaming Movie Apps or My Spectrum TV App. I do keep one main TV hooked up to DVR Cable TV box in case internet goes down which I suggest to anyone friends or family that ask.

Good Streaming Device
This review is about Roku Ultra, but I need to start with an earlier purchase: Apple TV 4K. The Apple device was almost perfect - no advertising and an elegant remote with the perfect weight and buttons. Its fatal flaw: voice search didn't include Netflix. So, I searched for an alternative and found the Roku Ultra. Picture and sound quality are excellent. The remote feels too light, with too many buttons, but the backlighting is great. I was able to customize the home screen to remove all but one advertising block. Not perfect, but very good!

Significantly better than the stick. It is much more responsive but also more directional. You have to point the remote at the receiver or it won’t respond. Love the “rocket ship” on the remote. A great shortcut.. if you can afford it, spend the extra money.
