  • A: Unfortunately, the ethernet port supports 10/100Mbps only. This may be acceptable for streaming but some 4k videos do require alot of bandthwidth, especially if you're streaming specific file formats.

    Roku Ultra best for skipping ads

    This is a great tool. I now have 3 of them guiding all my TVs. Here is the best feature: I record almost everything I watch so I can skip ads. The Roku Ultra (not other models) has a voice feature so I can say "forward 3 minutes 30 seconds". Almost all programs have a fixed amount of time for an ad slot. So easy and saves me searching through the video (which you can also do, but this is easier). Love it!

    Roku Ultra 4850R

    Overall, a great streaming device. It has all the bells and whistles that everyone wants today. The confusion is with the packaging: the box says 4850R, but the bottom of the device says 4850X. It also says in the "About" section of the operating system that it's a 4850X, not a 4850R. It was really confusing; at first, I felt like it was a marketing scheme until I contacted Customer Service to clarify. They told me, "Rest assured," it was definitely the 4850R. Trust? I don't know.

    Really great!

    Finally cut the cable w Comcast cause I really wasn’t watching it. Got the Roku to watch shows on the few streaming services I subscribe to. The Roku is great cause I can consolidate all my streaming services not to mention the free channels. Also love it cause I can use my Sirius XM on the Roku as well. The voice remote works really well. I can’t say enough good things about it, wish I had switched years ago.

    Ultra is a nice upgrade

    I replaced an aging Roku device with the new Ultra. The new unit is much more responsive, and we like the new remote. The Ultra also has an improved connection to our WiFi, overall we are very pleased with it.

I’m especially satisfied with Customer Service that help solved a mirror problem that I was having on my old plasma high definition TV and my iPhone 13 Pro.     The Roku upgrade worth the price

    Upgraded from the Roku Express to the Ultra. With Bluetooth for headphones and a rechargeable remote, that's reason enough. Throw in higher streaming capabilities and a lost remote button on the base, and it out performs the express across the board.

    After realizing that our Roku streaming Stick was 9 years old we decided to update. We went with the Roku ultra because if we're going to keep it for 9 or 10 years we might as well get the best one that's out at the moment. I enjoy the faster response time and other than that it looks remarkably like my old stick only it's sitting in front of my tv and it's faster. Oh, and also uses Dolby Atmos and gave an option Dolby vision.

    Taking some time getting used to finding what channel I want to watch. You do have to have different apps to be able to watch a particular program that you are interested in. Unfortunately sports channels are spread out amount the different apps.
