    I have not recently purchased a New Roku but am considering. I have read all reviews. new buyers must research! quality of modern technology isn't in the set itself but your connection. PEOPLE need to rid themselves of the expensive overpowered and prices of ridiculous CABLE. we need to teach and educate the older generation by showing them and not get so frustrated when they don't understand right away. we are not born with devices in our hands. teach what you know and be patient with those who aren't easy to picking up new knowledge. times are constantly changing. keep yourself educated as well as those (especially older women) who don't understand right away. each modern device and technical services constantly change. there is far more opportunities in cheaper advancement than just giving up and paying high prices for getting absolutely nothing. possibilities are endless and basically free or at little cost! would also like to note: it's not the TV itself where these negative reviews are inflicted, it's either the cable company or the USER. ;)

    This item has a reasonably good picture and has the roku apps added on immediately when you sign in to roku. Some apps already signed in even. It was easy to set up and start using right away BUT there is an unreasonable delay when using the remote. Even if you are close up to it, the remote does not fully respond. By the time it finally responds you have hit the button again not sure if it was going to do it. I think this is a deal breaker. You want the remote to be responsive.

    Picture is great. In spite of my concerns after reading other reviews, no complaints with the sound either. Now for the cons - horrible stand, so if you are not hanging on a wall, it could be an issue. Remote is inconvenient. It's hard to operate without messing up the volume and mute buttons on the side. I also find it hard to find a specific show without much scrolling. On the plus side, if you know the channel number, you can speak into the mic and the TV finds it. I also like that it retains prior shows watched so it comes up at the top the next time I use the TV. Overall, great TV for the size and price.
