Once you've got your device set up, open the Alexa app on your phone or tablet. From there, go to Devices and select the Echo Show 5. Once it loads up, you'll see the option for Photo Display along with "Manually select my photos." This will let you choose which photos from your phone to display on the Echo Show 5!     Handy smart picture frame

    I have had this smart photo frame for over two years and have enjoyed it. The home screen displays personal photos and my wife and I use it frequently for timers and reminders. It is also handy for getting quick answers to simple questions. It does show occasional ads but they are infrequent and unobtrusive.

    Frustrating

    Horrible. I was really excited to get these for my kids for Christmas. When setting up before putting it under the tree It kept switching on and off when setting up and after. It gives you the option to remove the ads but then they will pop back up. The camera only worked after playing with it multiple times. When you try and to click on options provided it would not respond. I have trouble shooted and restarted multiple times. My WiFi was strong so it def was not that.

    Absolute garbage! I love my echo dot. I hate everything about this device. It lags, Alexa does not respond, I click on something it takes me to something else, will not connect to the Alexa app, and it’s just overall not a good product. I don’t understand why this item is still on the shelves. Definitely will be returning.

    Not great

    I bought this at end of 2023 after a year does not work. Tried all configurations including factory reset..nothing. This isn’t on Target pacifically but a warning for customers. I wish I bought this from Amazon so they can’t say they won’t fix since I bought this is from a store.

    I’ve had many variations of echo devices. This one is absolutely awful. It never listens (even when speaking clearly and closely in a quiet room) and when it does, there is awful lag time.

What you can do to check this is go to Settings and then to Device Options and then to About and Check for Software Updates. If there is a pending update, it will download and then install and possibly also power cycle your device for your once or twice. Once this is complete, see if it improves your experience at all.     Worst purchase ever!

    Ads galore, randomly turns on in the middle of the night to update, which it then makes noises and the display becomes bright, randomly starts talking or playing music out of the blue, and has now become an expensive alarm clock

    Do not recommend.

    After a few months it began randomly waking us up in the middle of the night (usually around 3:00) for no reason by playing what sounds like talk radio (but can’t tell what station it is). It’s gotten worse the longer we have owned it so I now reboot it literally every day just to be safe. Seems to be the only way to avoid being woken up.

I am sorry to hear about the experience you are having with the device and have some recommendations to try and help solve the issue. First, I recommend checking to make sure you don't have any routines set up to play music at that time. Open the Alexa app and tap the more icon. Choose routines from the menu that appears and delete any that appear to be causing music to play randomly. I also recommend making sure that the device is up to date.     Waste of money, glorified Amazon Advertisemnt screen also broke after a month

    Shows a bunch of Amazon Ads for a screen saver and there’s no way to turn it off. Also stopped working after a month. It won’t do anything but show the time and won’t connect to internet.

To manage Ads, follow these steps: Swipe down on your screen, click Settings > Home and Clock > Home Content. Disable the content that you no longer wish to see rotating on your home screen. To help fix the internet issue, unplug your Echo Show 5 or the power adapter from the power outlet. Then plug it back in. If this doesn't work, reset it. To do this, press and hold the Mute and Volume Down buttons until you see the Amazon logo (about 15 seconds). When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device. If none of these steps work, please contact Amazon customer service at 1-888-280-4331 for further assistance. Hope this helps and have a great day!

    Constant connectivity issues

    We initially loved our Echo shows however within a few months we started having connection issues where video wasn’t available… my kids would try to call me from within the house and we couldn’t connect. We now continually have this issue. We tried unplugging and plugging them back in but it didn’t seem to help. Super frustrating as our main reason for getting them was to eliminate the need for the baby monitor.

First, check if your router is working properly, then try restarting your Echo Show 5, checking for software updates, ensuring your Wi-Fi network is selected correctly in the Alexa app, and if necessary, try resetting your Echo Show 5 to factory settings. Also, ensure that your Echo Show 5 is not in a cabinet or space where the wifi signal could be easily interrupted (next to a concrete wall etc). If the issues persist, call us!     Cool Alexa
