If you plan on listening to music, I recommend the Hub Max due to having multiple speakers in an arrangement that offers much richer audio, compared to the single speaker found on a 2nd Gen Nest Hub. The Nest Max also has a camera for video calls and photos, whereas the 2nd Gen Nest Hub has no camera. A: You can use your Nest Hub to make video calls with the help of Google Duo. Since the Nest Hub does not have a built-in camera, you can see the person you're calling, but they can only hear you on their end. There are 3 different ways to make a call with Nest Hub: Duo calling, Google supported calls, and Carrier calling. Please take note that Nest Hub will require a Wi-Fi connection to perform its functionalities. You can find more details on making calls with Nest Hub on our Google Nest Help page.

The Nest Hub (2nd Gen) doesn’t have a browser, it comes with a handy guide that includes quick and easy commands to get started using all of Google Home's features. Google Nest or Home speakers or displays can make your tasks easier by helping you do things like access media, manage your tasks, and plan your day using only your voice. does what it's supposed to do; but has some drawbacks; 1- doesn't have a camera, so no video calls 2- the processor literally belongs in a 2005 nokia, and thus cannot handle any hard tasks 3- sound is distorted if the base is not placed on a solid surface HOWEVER, unlike an Alexa, you don't have to pay for plays and can listen to music as much as it you want, unlimited skips

If you really need something that works well this isn’t it. So many issues Nest. This is my second and honestly between repeating yourself a million times, it randomly doing things and having to navigate the impossible interface on the app I definitely suggest try something else.

We suggest restarting your Nest Hub by unplugging it from the power source for about 1-2 mins to refresh the network. If it's still having difficulty or slow at processing, we recommend performing a factory reset. Here's how: - On the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting. Note: Factory reset will clear your data from the device and can't be undone. You will need to re-set up the Nest Hub. If the issue persists even after the factory reset, we suggest contacting our support team so we can assist you and check on your Nest Hub. Reach out to us via Google Nest Help page. Thank you!

This and the hub are just terrible. I have Youtube premium. I ask for a song and most of the time it plays the video on the hub or sometimes it plays a bootleg version on the speaker. Google needs to get this straightenout ASAP! Not a fan of the echo but at least when it comes to music, it plays what it supposed to...

But why on earth does it have video calling and list "video recording resolution" if the thing has no camera!!??? I assume that tech spec should be video playback resolution... ANd good grief - just remove the video call feature and state that up front!!

Since the Nest Hub (2nd gen) is the updated version of the original Nest Hub, like its previous version, it has no Nest Cam built-in, though we added some features. You can still use the display for video calling, however, the device you call or that calls you, must have a camera. The Google Nest Hub can receive video with Duo, but not send video. Though you can make or receive calls from other Duo users worldwide. Or make calls between your Google Nest speakers, displays, and mobile devices.
