[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just set up my new Chromecast and I am enjoying it. First of all, you will need a HDMI cable of your own. This is the only complain I have so far. If you have/ had a Chromecast, the setup is the same process. But, if you haven't had one don't worry the process is easy and simple is like any other set up that would take up to 15 min. The remote feels nicer than the old version. It also feels bigger and the volume buttons are in front of the control, not in the side. They also added a favorite button that could launch your favorite app., switch inputs, or open the home panel to control your smartphone. A really cool feature that I like is Find My Remote. You can locate your remote by pressing the button on the back of your Google TV streamer box, or using your voice by saying "Hey Google find my remote". This TV streamer seems fast and more high definition. Great quality and more features. It's a great Update!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been a user of a popular streaming device for many years, I was curious to see how Google's TV Streamer (4K) would measure up. For the record, I don't have a 4K television, so my review is based on the functionality of the streaming device. Inside the box you'll find a remote, batteries, a USB cable with outlet attachment, and a rounded rectangle piece that sits by your television for signaling. The minimal porcelain design from Google looks premium and modern, and the remote feels comfortable in my hand. An HDMI cable is not included for some reason, but thankfully I had an extra one in my household. Compared to my usual device, I'm not really a fan of the extra wiring and hardware with the Google TV Streamer whereas I previously used a small dongle stick directly attached to the back of my TV with one cord directed to the outlet. It took some getting used to. The setup was quite simple yet thorough. Google gave me the choice to connect either through my smartphone app or by manually logging into my Google account (I chose the latter). It took a few tries to connect the remote volume buttons to my TV as well as control the On/Off feature, but Google runs through at least 10 attempts to ensure proper calibration. Installing my favorite streaming apps was easy as well; all of my favorites were available. I thought the home screen was fairly easy to navigate thanks to the row of my apps located near the top, but elsewhere it's a bit disorganized with recommendations and advertising. There's a Continue Watching category that compiles specific YouTube videos, movies, and TV shows from apps that might be convenient for some but a little invasive to those who prefer to have those videos listed within their respectable apps instead. On the technical side, Google TV Streamer offers a single cache deletion option, whereas on my previous device I had to delete cache from apps one by one. The storage and memory are sufficient and I have yet to experience any lagging in navigation or streaming. I'm very pleased with the processor. To summarize, Google TV Streamer 4K is a step up from the competition with efficient technology and overall accessibility in both setup and app availability. The home screen could benefit from better organization, but as long as you can see your row of installed apps, you're good to go.

This streaming device is by far the best one I’ve ever used. The HDMI cable needed to use this is sold separately! The device is sleek and can easily blend with any decor. My favorite feature is the button on the back that will help you find the remote if lost! The remote itself is small, and there’s buttons that will directly take you to YouTube or Netflix. The bottom right hand button (star) is customizable, allowing you to go directly to your favorite app. It is also a voice remote, which makes it even easier to use! You can hook an Ethernet cable directly to the device, creating a seamless internet connection. The 4K HDR with Dolby Vision provides vivid details and vibrant colors. Dolby Atmos sound technology delivers a 3D audio experience that is crisp and clear. You can even use this device to control your Smart Home features! The set-up was simple, and the interface is easy to use and understand. With an unbelievable amount of features, this is a standout streaming device compared to the rest on the market!

If you don’t have a smart tv you can connect this to your tv and you can add all your streaming apps or even purchase movies thru it. Definitely a 4k quality and sounds like if I have surround sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of my flatscreen TVs is a fire TV and soundbar so it already has Alexa built-in with smart features and streaming capabilities. The installation process for this Google TV streamer with 4K and the voice remote looks very simple and sleeker and more modern than my Fire TV remote. The on boarding process and installation was very efficient and easy and I love that the downloaded Google home app also allows me to customize the name of the TV and where it’s placed as well as being able to incorporate my Google account and Google photos to the TV itself. I do also love the component with attaching my Google account that I can also use the same app on my phone to incorporate other Google Home products since there are quite a few on the market such as home sensors and video monitors & More! The total set up time took approximately 15 minutes between installing the device, connecting it to the home Wi-Fi system, as well as downloading the Google Home app and connecting my personal account as well.

It switches so fast between YouTube, Netflix, and goes back to the Home Screen within seconds! I love the voice assistant and how easy it is to access it. It has an app which is always helpful and from the app you’re also able to use your phone as the remote. It was really easy to set up and download all of our streaming services and apps. Definitely not going back to any other streamer.

Yes it’s a remote control, and yes it allows you to control other Google home products but what if I don’t have those? Wouldn’t my originally remote for my tv allow me to control said tv? And wouldn’t said tv have the apps necessary? I guess it’s cool that it’s voice control but I think it’s pretty useless. Looks nice though

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a FireTV so I wasn’t sure how this was going to work for me but I was so interested to try it. Firstly, I love the color (porcelain) and texture of the pieces. The remote has a great weight to it and it pretty easy to understand. Setup was a little tedious. It does not come with an HDMI cable but requires one for setup. Thankfully, I had a few extras but it really should be labeled in LARGE letters on the box, not little tiny ones on the back. It is a little long in size so it does take up some space on the TV stand. Not a problem but just to be aware of. Working with the Google Home app for setup was not seamless (had to go back and redo steps to get it to work) but overall maybe took 15-20 minutes to sync. I do like that there are various tests to go through to get the remote to be compatible with your TV. I also really like that the interface is geared towards the watcher and what apps I use. FireTVs homepage is so cluttered and overwhelming so this was a nice change to have my apps front and center without a full screen of ads. I do notice a color/vibrancy difference. I included two pictures of Netflix, one through Google TV and one through FireTV. The GoogleTV is a little sharper and more vibrant.
