A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Apple iPad (A16) 11-inch Wi-Fi (2025, 11th generation) This iPad is not compatible with the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) as it requires a magnetic charging and pairing strip on the side of the iPad, which is typically reserved for the iPad Pro and iPad Air models. Q: How do you charge the pencil with this iPad?
A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Apple iPad (A16) 11-inch Wi-Fi (2025, 11th generation). The charging method for the Apple Pencil depends entirely on which model of Apple Pencil you are using, as the iPad (A16) 11-inch (11th generation) is compatible with two different models that charge in two different ways. The iPad (A16) uses a USB-C port, which changes how the older Apple Pencil models are charged. 1. If you have the Apple Pencil (USB-C) This is the most straightforward method: Direct Connection: Slide open the cap on the end of the Apple Pencil (USB-C) to reveal its USB-C port. Charge: Connect a standard USB-C cable (like the one that came with your iPad) to the Pencil, and then plug the other end of the cable into the iPad's USB-C port or a USB-C power adapter. Note: While this pencil can magnetically attach to the side of the iPad for storage, it does not charge wirelessly on this iPad model. 2. If you have the Apple Pencil (1st Generation) Because the 1st Generation Pencil has a Lightning connector and your iPad has a USB-C port, you must use a special adapter: Adapter Required: You need the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter. Connection: Remove the cap from the 1st Generation Apple Pencil and plug it into one end of the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter. Plug a USB-C cable (like the one that came with your iPad) into the other end of the adapter. Plug the USB-C cable into the iPad's USB-C port (or a power adapter). Note: If you purchase a new 1st Generation Apple Pencil, this adapter is usually included in the box. If you have an older 1st Gen Pencil, you will likely need to purchase the adapter separately from Apple. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Compare iPad Air to this iPad
A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Apple iPad (A16) 11-inch Wi-Fi (2025, 11th generation). The choice between the two generally comes down to power/features vs. value: Choose the iPad (A16, 2025) if: Your primary use is web browsing, streaming video, reading, casual gaming, and basic schoolwork/note-taking. You want the best price for a modern iPad with a very capable chip (the A16 is still excellent). Choose the iPad Air if: You plan on doing intensive tasks like demanding video editing, high-end gaming, or heavy creative work. You use the Apple Pencil frequently for drawing or precise note-taking (the laminated display is a big advantage here). You often transfer large amounts of data (the faster USB 3 port saves significant time). You want the most future-proof device with more RAM and the latest performance features. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.
