Q: How many months before changing the filter?

submitted by Aglow - 5 years ago
  • A: I change it every 3 months

submitted byDee - 4 years ago
  • A: It really depends upon how much you use it. My assumption from the description is it should be comparable to brita filters. If so, they say on average to replace every 2 months or 40 gallons.

Q: Only brand expert answer please: The packaging of these says they contain silver and that some silver may be released into the water. Is this nano silver yes or no? Very important distinction.

submitted by MCAS - 10 days ago
  • A: This is not nano silver. Our household water filters have been specially treated with silver to preserve hygienic quality. A small amount of silver may be released into the filtered water, on average less than 0.03 mg/liter. This is in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) for drinking water quality. A silver concentration of up to 0.1 mg/liter in drinking water can be tolerated without risk to health.¹ ¹ World Health Organization (2021), 'Silver in drinking-water'."
