The change in texture you're seeing comes from a process called "chocolate bloom" which happens when our snacks are exposed to temperatures above our recommended threshold of 55°F - 65°F. While they are still totally safe to eat, the heat causes the oils in the filling to separate and dry out. Please reach out to hi@unrealsnacks.com with pictures and we'll send a replacement! While several of our products are certified vegan and made without any dairy ingredients, we do not recommend any of our products for those with a dairy allergy. All of our products are made in a facility that also processes milk chocolate, so there’s always a risk of cross-contamination. That means even our vegan-certified products aren’t considered completely dairy-free. For reference: Contain dairy: Milk Chocolate Gems, Milk & Dark Chocolate Pretzels, and Dark Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat Bars. Vegan (no dairy ingredients): Coconut Bars, Peanut Butter Cups, Almond Butter Cups, Peanut Gems, Quinoa Gems, Chocolate Covered Almonds, and Coconut Almonds. I hope this helps clarify!
