A: Described as "zinc alloy". even though zinc alloys can corrode they will not rust. Rust is a type of corrosion characteristic to iron-based metals, such as steal, but not zinc alloys.

Spring broke immediately in these
These are not designed well. I think you're supposed to just pop them onto the curtain rod, but most curtain rods are too thick, so you have to try and pry them open, which then makes the spring break immediately.

These do not hold up well overtime. After a couple years, the metal broke at the hinge on many of our hooks. Need to buy stronger rust resistant hooks.
