- Growing bulbs in containers outdoors for spring bloom is a little different than growing them in the ground. Even the largest container can feel tiny and cramped compared to a garden bed. You are taking the place of Mother Nature; therefore, care is required. As bulbs are essentially storage mechanisms, they already contain everything needed to produce flowers so any well-draining soil can be used. Bulbs in pots are typically planted much closer together, as close as possible without touching. It is also possible to layer or mix in smaller bulbs. Keep the pot cold - below 48F required - but above freezing at all times, as cold is essential for the proper development of these bulbs. Finding the right spot all depends on where you live (possibly your garage), but burying them in the ground is always an option. A good way to monitor temperatures is with a maximum-minimum thermometer. Protect from mice and dramatic temperature fluctuations. Drench pots after planting, but after that keep them moist but not soggy. Once the roots have developed, and the leaves are a couple of inches tall move the pot gradually into the light and sun, and then water regularly. Once the buds start to open, move the container wherever you want to enjoy them.
Description
Miniature Daffodils Tete-a-Tete is by far the most popular miniature daffodil worldwide and a mainstay of the spring. This is the small, early daffodil that everyone loves. It ranks a stunning No. 4 on the worldwide popularity list of all daffodils. Extremely easy to grow, this heirloom variety has a prolific fragrant bloom that brings beauty to every garden. Plant 9 bulbs per square feet for optimum results. Larger spacing may look sparse in early years, but the spaces will fill in over time. Can be left undisturbed for a number of years. Lots of variety and color with each mixture being unique. Best grouped or mass planted in sunny areas. If planted 4" apart 750 bulbs will cover 83 square feet, whereas if planted 6" apart 750 bulbs will cover 188 square feet. Plant for the look you want, or the needs you are trying to achieve.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love daffodils and and am so excited to see how these brighten my gardens in the spring. These are mature nice sized bulbs that look like they will quickly produce spring flowers in my garden. Bulbs were well packaged and came with clear planting instructions. All of my planting this year has been with deer resistant plants and i love that daffodils are at the top of the list for plants deer avoid. Can’t wait to enjoy these in the spring.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These daffodil bulbs are absolutely beautiful. They grow with long, bright green stems and the most stunning yellow flowers. When I received my bulbs in the mail they were packaged very professionally with air holes in the bag the bulbs were contained in. The bulbs themselves were quality bulbs that I could tell were produced for maximum and premium growth. The root of each bulb was very defined and easy to put in the ground to plant. I would highly recommend this brand of bulbs for anyone looking to grow quality daffodils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve bought from this supplier before and never been let down. The bulbs arrived quickly and in perfect planting condition. Well packed so they had air and weren’t crushed. All bulbs are intact Now I just have to plant them deep enough for that the squirrels don’t dig them up. A constant autumn battle for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Plantcetera daffodil is a beautiful perennial plant that delight gardeners year after year. The color that they bring to your flower beds is brilliant and you know warmer weather is on the way. Plantcetera Dafdodils are hearty bulbs that are so easy to plant and then maintain as they start to flourish. Can’t wait to see the new addition to our garden beds.
