Q: The unfinished version of this, otherwise identical, says it holds up to 400 pounds. This one? 225! What on earth is in the finish that weakens the bench so?

The product was well protected with handmade foam padded corners. It's smallr than a piano bench, more like a big chair seat. Perfect vanity. Just add felt pads to feet and customize with your own fabric.
