Very bright depending on the type of bulb but the design is compatible with lots of different bulbs. I have it outside and it is doing good in the weather has had a couple of storms already and the light is doing good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to run electricity out to the front of the garage, but well worth it. It was simple to install and makes the house look 100% better. Plus it is nice having light out front where it was dark. It also gives better lighting for our camera out front.
