I have put together a lot of furniture and I have never in life seen an assembly this ridiculous. The legs attach the seat with brackets and little screws but there are no holes or specific place so you have to screw directly into the wood. There is no way to tighten the screw tight enough so every time you sit on or pick up the ottoman the legs give way a little bit the metal prices click together. 0/10 on assembly. I’m not sure why they did this.

Love it now that it’s built! Mine didn’t have holes pre drilled to connect the seat to the legs which was a minor inconvenience, but not a showstopper.

Comfier than it looks. The top is cushioned and works great to put your feet up on. It’s true that some holes were not pre drilled.

Exactly what I needed and great product. I held back a star because there are flaws to the construction. In the instructions it says to use short end to screw in but I had to use the long end initially then the short to tighten. Also no pre made holes to screw in the cushion to the pieces given. Not impossible or difficult. You just have to figure out some things not provided in the instructions.

Not sure why some people had trouble assembling. I don't build things at all and it only took 10-15 minutes. I just turned the L key to the longer side (this was different from the instructions) and the bolts went in pretty quickly. I love it and it's sturdy

We love it! Very pleased with its look and durability.

It's a nice ottoman, looks good, does have a bit of an odor as some other reviewers describe but it went away pretty quickly. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is because it was a massive pain to assemble. It's not technically challenging, but incredibly annoying - assembling the legs took a while from all the quarter allen key turns. Also don't have any pilot holes to indicate how the legs should attach to the actual seat. Besides that there's nothing wrong with it - just could be designed to be a little easier to put together.

I am giving this a 4 because it looks so great in the photos. Truth is, I never got past opening the seat. We didn't even take anything else out of the box. Several of the photos show a very light grey, more of a white, and that is the color I hoped this footstool would turn out to be. Unfortunately, it is the darker grey shown in other photos. Nice quality seat and definitely didn't have the odor another reviewer mentioned. I returned it.

I purchased this to use as a small dog step for our bed. I'm very happy with the purchase and so are our fur babies.

Very nice MCM piece! I've been looking for a little footstool with these clean lines to go with the rest of my furniture and I finally found it at Target.com. I have some authentic MCM furniture and this matches pretty well. It does need to be assembled, but it's pretty sturdy. It's perfect for any living room that doesn't have a lot of space because it tucks away so neatly and it's not a big overwhelming ottoman.

It's pretty, but I couldn't put the ottoman together. The quality of the screws and alignment just did not work. I am disappointed because I love the look of it, but I'm unfortunately returning it. An extremely rare disappointment with a Target purchase!

Looked nice, but the seat had a very strong odor. It was just too strong for me. Also, the assembly looked like more work than I had anticipated. Delivery and customer service on the return was excellent!
