Violife Just Like Cheddar Shreds Vegan Cheese Alternative - 8oz

So disappointed. The change in formula label is sooo small. I’m allergic to lentils and had a serious reaction. If you add an allergen to a food enjoyed by people with allergens the label should be much larger. Really has impacted my trust in violife. Why mess with a great and tasty product?

I threw away four new bags of cheddar shreds because I thought they had gone bad. Turns out, this is the new and improved version. It tastes spoiled and sour. Like sour milk.

WHY DID YOU CHANGE THIS CHEESE? This was my favorite cheese in the world and you ruined it. The flavor is different and the texture is horrible! Never buying this again

For context, I’ve been vegan a long time, and I honestly don’t like this taste of animal cheese anymore. This cheese is great. It melts well and leaves no weird aftertaste like some of them. My girlfriend still eats dairy on occasion and is a stickler for cheese alternatives, and this is her favorite one for the same reasons. Highly recommend!

So many bad reviews, and still the company seems more interested in money than quality. I used to buy violife epic mature, it was delicious, till it changed. Today I tried their new cheddar, it really is horrible. Takes me back to the early days of vegan cheese... Such a shame.

I loved this cheese so much. It was my favorite. I would go to the most expensive store in my city just to find this brad. Why do large companies have to ruin such good products? Very disappointed to have to say I'll be finding a new vegan cheese brand and will no longer be purchasing Violife. Your new recipe has a horrible aftertaste and is nothing like the old recipe. Please bring it back. Until then, I'm no longer a customer of your products.

I made the simple mac n cheese. It was very good, but if you use that recipe: use a little less paprika, add some mile to make it less sticky, mix the parmesan with the cheddar. I've never made mac n cheese before. I'd say it was a success.

Just plain yuck!!! Used to be my fave for years. I kept taking it back because I thought it was bad. Did not realize it had different ingredients. 😩

They changed the formula and now it's awful. Texture, color, and most of all taste are way different. This used to be a staple, but it's so bad, I have to find a replacement.

The new taste of Just like Cheddar shreds is AWFUL! I have been a loyal customer for years buying 4-8 bags a month. Not anymore! And I just returned 8 bags. Why on earth did you change a good thing you had??? Adding the lentil was a huge mistake. Bummer. You lost a loyal customer.

Violife, please go back to your original ingredients and eliminate the lentil protein! We are dairy, nut and legume free and we can no longer use your products.

Are you reading the reviews, Violife? Maybe you’ll see them reflected in this quarter’s revenue, because you’ve really let your customers down. The allergy and vegan communities were loyal to your brand and you blew it. You can save it if you switch recipes back. Violife cheese was the only kind I could eat. Like my food options weren’t limited enough, now I have no cheese—and when I say I ate your products every day, I’m not exaggerating. I’m nearly through all the packages I bought when I learned of this reformulation. It’s gutting.

My wife loved this as she has a lactose sensitivity and finds it difficult to get a good vegan cheese. The "new and improved" smells and tastes awful. She tried two different bags in case there was an issue. Please change it back. There just aren't enough good options we've found. It didnt need changing. Unless it goes back to the previous recipe we won't be buying it again.

Zero stars! You ruined a perfect product. Go back to the old formula! Listen to your customers! I used to buy the shredded cheddar 6 packs at a time. All of the sudden it started tasting sour. It tastes like a rotten sharp cheddar, or at times blue cheese. If I wanted blue cheese I’d buy it, but this was supposed to be vegan cheddar. We discovered were dairy intolerant, so violife cheddar shreds were a life saver. They were perfectly creamy, delicious with buttery undertones. I actually loved it better than full dairy cheese. The first time I tried full dairy cheese again after violife, I thought the dairy cheese was disgusting. At first I thought I bought a bad bag, it must be bad, nearly rancid tasting. But the sad fact is, that all bags taste like this now. Rancid, vinegary, sour, disgusting excuse for a cheese alternative. Don’t buy this new formula, so they are forced to go back to the old formula, and beg us to come back as customers!

Used to be amazing. Now the.”new and improved” formula is as bad as most other vegan cheese. Inedible. Incredibly disappointing.

This new recipe tastes horrible! I went to make my vegan mac and cheese recipe and thought I missed a step when it tasted terrible. The next time, it was just as bad and then I realized that they changed the recipe. Please bring back the old recipe.

This was my favorite go-to vegan cheese. But since the recipe has been updated, it’s terrible. The texture and consistency are weird and it doesn’t taste good. Not a fan of the “new and improved” and will be trying out other brands. Please bring back the old recipe

What a downgrade. This vegan cheese was the best in the market and now the new formula makes it unbuyable. How this made it out of development is astonishing.

Omg, this is my #1 cheese, I've just tried it for the first time and is blown away at how much it taste and melts like cheese.
