These chairs were super straight forward to put together. I keep an allen wrench with a legit handle on it in my tool box that made the build process easy as pie. I recommend a handle for extra torque! These would be sort of difficult to build without one. The swivel is smooth, the cushion is padded and almost had firm filling that acts as memory foam when you get on and off. I have a bad back, and I actually prefer a firmer seat than most. I ordered several other chairs that were too cushy and would sink in the middle, creating more pressure on my sit bones. The decision to keep these chairs was because while they aren't the "firm" I desired, they were more firm than several others I tried and I liked that the cushion would spring back to original form after sitting unlike otherd. For the value, these are absolutely stellar. They look modern and sharp! The seat is nice and wide, and I like how high the back comes up for support. I don't forsee the cushions lasting forever. I think over time they will eventually sink but like I said, I had purchased several other chairs that did not even pass a week long test but these have. The material is nice and easy to clean. Feels like a less plastic faux leather than others I tried as well. It's not shiny but more matte and authentic looking. I can tell the quality is better than almost all the others I've tried at this price point. I am genuinely pleased with this purchase.
