Q: Does this Vitamix blender make ice cream? If so, how would you make ice cream in this Vitamix? Thank you!

submitted by CharlieBrown2 - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi! The Vitamix is great for making homemade frozen desserts but it does not churn the ingredients like an ice cream maker. All frozen desserts should be made with frozen fruit to get the best consistency. If you have fresh fruit, we recommend that you freeze it first then make your desserts with the frozen fruit. Using ingredients like banana and avocado will give you a creamy texture similar to ice cream.

Q: How do you get the blade clean. Is it detachable

submitted by Happy Shoper - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi! We do not recommend ever taking the blade our of your Vitamix container. The best way to clean it is to fill the container half way with some warm water, a drop of dish soap, then blend on high! Rinse and let dry, so easy!

Q: Can it be uses as a juicer.

submitted by Glo - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi! Because the Vitamix is a whole food machine, it is much different from a juicer and will not be able to extract the juice from produce the way a standard juicer does. However, you can still use your Vitamix to make delicious whole juices! Simply add in your produce with at least enough water to cover the blades (you may want to add more to make a thinner mixture), then blend on high until smooth. Once the mixture is to the consistency you need, stop your Vitamix and remove the container from the motor base. Take a cheesecloth or one of our nifty filtration bags, and place in a large bowl. Pour the mixture from your Vitamix container into the cheesecloth or filtration bag slowly, then gather up the edges and squeeze out the juice into the bowl! You can then discard the pulp or add it to your compost!
