The vitamix absolutely crushes ice and does a great job of blending everything I’ve thrown at it. We use it on a daily basis and it continues to perform flawlessly. This replaced our ninja that stopped working.

I had wanted a Vitamix for years having heard all the hype and finally purchased one. What a disappointment! It struggles just to make hummus with a mere 15-ounce can of beans and 1/4 cup of water. Even with the tamper, the food gets stuck by the blades and stops spinning and won't go beyond 3 on the dial. And trying to get the food out is very cumbersome. So much food is wasted because it's stuck under the blades. I miss my old Oster blender, which not only came with a solid glass jar but let me remove the blades to retain all the food and make for easy cleaning. I expected so much more from Vitamix. I would not buy it again and do not recommend it.

Hello! We are sorry to hear your Vitamix is not working as you anticipated it to. For best results there are some techniques we recommend you follow: Check Your Speed When starting the machine, make sure the Variable Speed Dial is turned to 1(or, the ‘Stop’ position). Turn the machine on and turn the Variable Speed Dial from 1 to the highest speed your Vitamix has within five seconds. The Vitamix machine performs best on High speed to pulverize food and process thick mixtures. Follow Order of Ingredients Place ingredients into the container in the order listed in your Vitamix recipe. If working with your own recipe, start with a base of liquid (water, juice, milk), followed by softer ingredients (tofu, yogurt), then juicier fruits and vegetables (grapes, cucumbers), firmer fruits and vegetables (apples, carrots), frozen ingredients (frozen berries), and finally ice. If you use protein powders, they should follow the ice. Use the Tamper If ingredients are not freely circulating, the tamper can be used to improve the flow of food. While the machine is running and with the lid firmly in place, insert the tamper through the lid plug opening and begin working it in the four corners of the container. As the food travels around the side of the container, the tamper directs it right into the blades. If there is an air pocket around the blade, the tamper will release the air pocket and create a continuous flow of food through the blades. If you try these tips and are still having trouble blending, please call us at 1-800-848-2649, so we can further assist.

I purchased a brand new E310 to replace my old dying “Creation II”. I loved my CREATION II and it lasted me over a decade: wonderful quality and ease of use. Well, VITAMIX show a zillions models on their site but the CREATION is gone. So I picked the E310, because I thought it would feel and act very much like my old CREATION- however, it turns out the on /off button, dial button and pulse button of this E310 all feel very cheap -almost ready to pop off or disconnect from the motor. A general feeling of downgrade in quality. So far the blending/crushing is as good as my old VITAMIX, but I am leery about these cheap control buttons. Should have I bought a more expensive model to experience better design? Well, I certainly hope their more expensive models feel sturdier than this cheaply designed E310, because as it stands, this new machine is ruining the idea of quality I associated with VITAMIX from my previous model. A note on the “pulse" switch. I cannot see any difference in speed or crush when I use it -as opposed to dialing the wheel to 10. This pulse button feels redundant or useless. Not sure why it is even here. I am rather disappointed all in all.

Hi there, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment in your new machine. We are glad to hear that it is running well and we don't anticipate you having any trouble with the control buttons. The pulse button is to be used for intermittent blending. Do not start the machine with the button on the right, just select your speed and press the pulse button, the machine will only run for as long as you hold it down. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us at 1-800-848-2649.

This is my first Vitamix and compared to all other blenders I have owned, it is the best blender. It is simple to use and does not have many switches and buttons to deal with. It is very powerful and although loud when it is at maximum power, it can handle the frozen fruits I use in my smoothies. The damper is very useful and once I learned how to use the blender better, I can make my smoothies fast and it comes out very smooth. Certainly a great blender. I do not use dairy products or powders so I only add a little filtered water at the bottom and Kale then follow the instructions on how to stack each ingredient in order. I also purchased the extended warranty and I am not regretting it at all.

I’ve had a Ninja professional kitchen system for years and mostly used it to make smoothies. It usually had to be run 3-4 times to get the ingredients mostly smooth, was insanely loud and struggled to make dips/spreads at all. I splurged on this Vitamix while on sale and it’s been a dream right out of the box! Much quieter and because it works so well I’m only running it for 30-60 seconds vs multiple times. Easy to clean, too. Happy with my purchase and highly recommend over the Ninja system.

I was so excited when I ordered this blender. I spent a lot of time researching before selecting which model to order. The primary purpose for this blender - smoothies and frozen drinks. The first thing we made was a smoothie the blender failed miserably at mixing ice, water, sorbet, and frozen strawberries. It mixed the bottom but nothing else. We used the tool that came with it to push the contents down to the bottom and had to really work at it to get it to mix. Also had to add way more water than the recipe called for to see if that would help, it didn't. There were a lot of ice chips and chunks of strawberries, even tried several speeds and the pulse feature. Tried two other drinks and same results. I will be returning this, there are no clear return instructions to obtain a return label. I’ve emailed the service email off the website and hope to hear back soon.

I really enjoy my Explorian 310 Blender. It cost lest than the Ascent series blenders and it comes with a 48oz. container as opposed to the 64 oz. container that comes standard with most (but not all) Ascent models. This is important to me because I am single and I mostly make small batches of things. The 48 oz. container is far superior when it comes to making small batches. In addition, the 48 oz container is large enough for all but the largest of recipes. Even though it only has a 2hp motor as opposed to a 2.2 hp motor like the Ascent model blenders, it does just as good of job of blending even the toughest ingredients.

I bought my E310 six weeks ago and I cannot believe the difference that it has made in how much more energy I have. By bookending my meals with the vegetable smoothie bowls I use it to make for breakfast and dinner, I feel amazing. The smoothie consistencies are so velvety. I am really feeling new inspiration to cook and create in the kitchen again. Thank you!!!!

Very happy with my Vitamix so far. My biggest problem is layering the items in my smoothie in the most effective layers to blend best, and making sure I add enough into the container to have it blend thoroughly. I feel like blenders I've had in the past were better at dispersing the contents as soon as it's turned on rather than me having to manually use the blending stick.

We've had multiple smoothie machines in the past (brands such as Nutribullet), but this one is clearly in a different league. The blending action is very smooth and to our ears, it's a quiet blender. Love the tamper that comes with it!

I bought this machine for the inlaws as a Christmas present in 2021 and mom cried happy tears unwrapping it. She knows how great these blenders are and never dreamed of owning one. She started using it to make healthy smoothies and uses it every single day. I chose this specific model because she is in her 70's and not tech savvy at all. But she knows how to use this one without issues. I send her recipes for soups and other tips and tricks to get more out of this great appliance and make her even happier.

This blender definitely lives up to all the hype. It blends thoroughly leaving no discernable chunks, making it easy to eat healthily by including all the fibrous parts of foods. And the way it cleans up by blending a couple of glasses of water and a bit of dish soap is genius! Glad I purchased this item; I am hoping this is the only blender I will ever need. Highly recommend.

When my previous blender stopped working, I debated about whether it was worth spending the extra money for a Vitamix. While I haven't taken advantage of all the features yet (such as making soup), I am impressed with how powerful it is. I would prefer a glass container as plastic is more likely to become damaged or develop stains/odors.

Man this machine is loud and is smaller than my A2300 but I guess that means it packs a punch for such a small size. I bought this one for dry goods.
