A: My guess is plastic (Hamilton should answer this). Mine which appears identical (bought used) is thick glass which I think is a good choice. The weight probably helps with it not sliding around.

I am very disappointed in this product. I thought I will have it least for a few months. It was less than two weeks. I purchased it at the end of April and by May 5 it stopped working. Looks like I grinded the plastic port that spins the blades around. I didn't use it every single day, but I assumed if I was wanting to do smoothies daily, it would be no problems, but I guess not.

Do not buy. First of all, it is a plastic jar, like we all need more plastic in our lives. It will not last long, very cheap. Electric smell if you use high setting which you need for anything other than a milkshake. Will not crash frozen fruit until it sits it thaw for 10 minutes.

This blender is sooo worth the price! I’ve used it a few times within the month that i’ve had it and it worked just as expected! It’s very affordable in my opinion and still great quality. It’s a little difficult to clean because it doesn’t come apart but if you just blend up some soapy water and then wash and rinse well you’ll be fine! :)
