A: I'm not a brand expert, but what I do know is that none of the external parts of the base are made from metal. I just bought one because of the previous answer, but now I'm totally dissapointed.

Q: Does this blender contain PFAS? In the state of Mn., no products are allowed to be sold with forever chemicals. The seal that keeps the smoothie from leaking is at least one part I am concerned about as are others.

This blender does not stand firmly on its stand and it leaks at the bottom. In addition, the four rubber stoppers that are supposed to help anchor it on any surface come off easily. Actually two of them disappeared completely and could not be found. Also, the cover is very loose and does not close tightly enough. Further, a great quantity of liquid has to be poured into the blender to blend just about anything.

The pitcher should rest firmly in place, so we would like to walk you through a few troubleshooting steps to ensure everything is aligned properly: Troubleshooting Tips: Check for Proper Alignment Make sure the pitcher is seated fully and squarely into the blender base. There are tabs or notches on the bottom of the pitcher that should fit into grooves on the base. You may need to gently rotate the pitcher until it "settles" into position. Inspect the Rubber Gasket and Coupling Ensure that the rubber gasket (seal ring) is properly seated between the blade assembly and the pitcher. If it's missing or out of place, it may prevent proper alignment. Also, look at the bottom of the pitcher and the drive coupling on the base. There should be no obstructions, debris, or signs of damage. Test Without Ingredients Try placing the empty pitcher on the base and gently pressing down to see if it stabilizes. Needed a replacement blender suddenly - and was on a budget. Didn’t want to spend $200 for plastic, definitely wanted glass, found this one on an aisle. We make a few smoothies a day in the house and wow, this blender has improved the taste and texture significantly. The smoothie button is so perfect, it pulses everything just right. The smoothies come out fluffy and blended perfectly. Totally recommend this blender, especially with it being glass for the price.

I bought 2 of these, and both motors were burning instantly. The smell was abnoxious and took a day to dissipate. It was nice to have glass, but not at the cost of a motor. I don't think I happened to get the two bad apples out of the bunch either. It also couldn't handle ice too well.

The blender smells like it’s going to catch on fire. The motor is not strong enough to bring the ingredients into a blending motion, it all sits on the bottom. Constantly had to stir it to help incorporate the ingredients, which is what a blender is typically used for. I would not purchase this blender as it is not worth the distraction or cost.

It's a basic glass blender - so I didn't have high expectations for it. Overall it blends fine, but I've noticed after using it on the daily...the gasket/seal at the base by the blades is leaking and leaving "smoothie" residue on the base. I'm past my return date - but most likely won't purchase this brand again (unlike my previous blender, I don't believe it was made for daily smoothies).

It's weird to include safety instructions but no operation manual. For that you have to scan...then Oster sends you through an arcane set of specifications without any clarity whatsoever to "find" the right instructions. Then it requires a model number and guess what...that's nowhere to be found on the product. I needed the instructions because no matter what I did, the blender would just sit there and do absolutely nothing. Worthless and a waste of my time buying this product.

I love this blender so much I had to come write a review. I am using it for smoothies, as I have one every morning. Before I threw my smoothies maker in the trash where it belongs (starts w an N) I had a dream of purchasing any blender that was easy to use, clean and preferably with glass. I was skeptical of this one because I thought I’d be spending more. NO NEED! Yes, there is a motor smell from the base, I do not care. Does the stuff some times go to the top? Kind of, as other reviews have said. But since I’m making a smoothie with 13 ingredients, I make sure that I put the hardest to blend stuff with my liquid and I’m blending in increments. When I am done with phase 1, I open the blender to add more and give a little swish to take any particles down and I have absolutely no problems. SO easy to clean. So easy to add more to the blend. So wonderful, amazing, will buy 100 more if this one does.
