[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was not my most favorite blender I've used. It wasn't terrible once I finally figured it out, but it took me a solid 30+ minutes to make a smoothie. First, it is extremely loud. Although I feel most blenders are. One thing I liked is it didn't move all over the counter. It has really nice grippy bottom feet. I like the simplicity of the buttons. Pulse, low, high, milkshake, smoothie, and salsa. It has a 76 Oz plastic jar which is light and easy to carry and clean. Very minimal parts. I like the easy open hole top to add liquids and small ingredients. The blade is 100% stainless steel. This is where the blender lacks a bit. The blade is small and sits low to the bottom, so it takes a bit for all the ingredients to get moving around in the beginning. I had to stop and stir constantly. Once I finally added extra liquid to my mixture and set the smoothie setting after several shakes and stirs and pulses and trying every setting, I finally got it to blend smoothly in a rolling vortex formation. Overall, 3 stars. For the price, it works just fine, it's just a bit of a learning curve. If you are looking for a high end fancy blender, this is not it.

I use it for smoothies, blended iced coffee, and mostly in cooking (like this superfood soup). It seems powerful and can blend things easily. It's also easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Oster Vortex blender was a breeze to assemble and use. Its the perfect size for iced coffee and smoothies. Its powerful enough to crush medium sized ice cubes and isn't deafening to use. Odors don't stay if washed immediately. Only downfall of this blender is that it breaks kind of easily. I dropped it on the floor and the pouring spout broke a bit. Now it pours funky. Bit otherwise a very solid machine.

It has a milk shake, smoothies and a pulse style blend with high and low speed as well as one you can push at any time to start. It worked great for us. Can be a little loud, but I think that’s about average with a blender and to be expected.

The milkshake and smoothie turned out great, while the salsa needed a little manual blending on low after the cycle finished. The plastic jar feels good quality and is quite large, making it easy to prepare bigger servings of juices and shakes. One thing that takes a little getting used to is how the jar attaches to the machine. Unlike other blenders, there isn’t a noticeable click or locked position, and the locking area is a little wide, so it can be confusing at first to know if it’s properly in place. Overall, it’s a great blender to have. It’s lightweight, sleek, and stylish, and works well for everyday use.

It is not sleek but amount of smoothie I can make at ones is for two people. It blends away very nicely and not chunks remain aside. There is no leaks as of now.
