Oster Beehive 2 Blender Silver

I bought a blender last year, and it stopped working six months later. They sent a new one, two weeks ago it stopped working again. I have reached out to the company but they failed to respond. It seems that they Wii no longer stand by their equipment. The product must not be reliable. I would not recommend this product.

The blender itself works great, but the toggle to turn it on/off/pulse fell and won't lock into place anymore. I've only had it 18 months and use it maybe a couple times a month. So now it's automatically powered on if it's plugged in and we just have to unplug it if we need it to stop. I will say I've used it to make smoothies with frozen ingredients and it blended well. I think I just needed a model with multiple options/buttons to avoid this headache.

I have the original Oster blender bought 30 years ago and this new one that superficially looks the same. The old one still works, is somewhat noisy, but bearable, The new one, however, right out of the box is so noisy that it is unusable without serious hearing protection. I tested it with a professional SPL meter, running on a countertop, filled with a quart of water. The noise level measured at 2ft was 102dBA, which is about as loud as a motorcycle. Unnacceptable for a kitchen appliance.

Greatest blender ever made if you know what you're doing. I really hope they keep making it, I'd like to buy ten more of them to keep in the kitchen closet. People complain how loud it is, well it's a 1000 watt motor so ya it's gonna be loud, I put ear plugs in when I use mine (worth it). I don't use the blender pitcher for anything, I also don't thread the cup the way they say to, it leaks if you do. Place the rubber ring inside the threaded cup then place the blade on top of that, twist on real tight to a mason jar full of whatever you're wanting to blend, use rubber grippers if you need to, to tighten or loosen it. It never leaks when you do it like that. And whether you use the low speed or the high speed, blend as long as you need to (hang on to the jar while you're blending) and your smoothies come out better than any Ninja or Bullet blender can ever blend anything. If you want a quality commercial grade smoothie maker buy this one and use standard size mouth Mason jars, and you'll have perfect smoothies every time.

I love my blender. I was looking for a replacement glass jar mines was broken.

Can I use it to blend bean and Tiger nut And where can get it

Just bought another to replace ours. The motor tanked out. Had it for years. GREAT for smoothies. SIMPLE to use. Only issue is that, eventually, the 6-Cup Boroclass Glass Jar "leaks" through the bottom where the blade assembly screws on. Also, the bottom and the rubber gasket gets "gummed up." Even with cleaning it after every use. But it does last a LONG TIME and it's inexpensive.

I inherited mine from my parents who bought it in 1960. It only has a 500 watt motor but still gets the job done. Making frozen smoothies is tricky but I found a pusher that clears the blades which makes it easier. I'm now in my 70s and I'm sure it will outlast me. I guess my son will get more use out of it when I leave it to him.

We’ve had this blender for maybe 15 years….? I love, wait, loved, it…. I think it died today and need to find one locally! I love the simple design on on, off or pulse. I don’t need 7 settings. I love the glass jar and sturdy base.

This product is so loud we LITERALLY have to wear ear protection. If you value your hearing, do not purchase, as it really should come with a health warning. If this is what the Oster brand has devolved to, we will not be purchasing their products in the future.

This was a Christmas gift, didn’t use until today. Made a smoothie and it came through the cap, what a mess. I will never use, much less purchase, an Oster again.

I am really unhappy with this blender. It seems to be a powerhouse judging by how extremely loud it is (almost as loud as a Vitamix), yet it does not blend very well. For smoothies, it requires manually putting a utensil in the blender to stir and mix things up. I realize Oster makes a blender specifically for smoothies, but never have I had so much of an issue with a non-smoothie blender when making smoothies. And to top it off, the manual was outside the blender box and the box seemed as though it had been opened and repackaged and couldn’t quite fit as the box was bulging on the top. Very disappointed overall.

Terrible build quality. The base somehow became cracked, which was not my fault at all, I kept care of it perfectly. I made a blender-full of hot soup, and when I went to take the blender out, the base fell out, and soup spilled everywhere, on the counter, floors, and behind/underneath the stove. Don't waste your money, buy something other than an Oster product, and maybe something a little more expensive.

I bought my blender in1968 and I am still using it I have replace the canister but other then yet no problems I made my sons baby food with the baby food jars

We got an Oster blender for a wedding gift in 1966 and it’s still working great! If this is similar, I’d say buy it!
