So far, this seems like a great purchase. The control is easy to use, and it gives the motor breaks in between cycles. It runs on its own without me needing to be there to hold onto it. It could benefit from a suggested user guide with recipes. We did need to use a special tool to get the base separated from the glass top initially, as it really tightens down. Easy cleaning.

Piece of JUNK!!!! I was given this as a replacement for a blender that was less than 2 years and had warranty still left. The blender I had was discontinued, no longer available for replacement. Cuisinart replaced with this bender, ~2 months ago!! I've already had issues with it not starting. I use it for a daily smoothie. Hoping this issue isn't a sign it's going to quit on me soon!! Other issues: glass jar is very heavy. Doesn't blend well. Yogurt is still on sides of my blender after the "smoothie" control has finished!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE BLENDER!! I will never buy this brand again!!EVER!!

Lovin' My Smoothies

I use this blender for smoothies with a base of frozen fruit and it does a great job of making sure all ingredients are pureed to perfection. This is a very powerful appliance with blades located in the base of the glass pitcher (not on a rod running up through the middle) which seems to work great when making just for one. The "smoothie" setting is pre programmed for just the right amount of pulsing. I like the glass jar and so far it has worked beautifully for me. Some may consider this blender heavy but I find that indicates power and stability.
Far & Away BEST OF GLASS! No Comparison.

"Do you Cuisinart reviewer take this Amazing Cuisinart appliance to be your lawfully wedded Blender?” Oh, you bet I DO! "Do you promise to love and cherish this blender, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all other blenders, keep yourself only unto it for so long as you both shall live?" That is an unequivocal YES! Folks, we’re almost a year in and the honeymoon continues. In fact, we now own two of these—‘two’ have and ‘two’ hold. This blender is in a ‘GLASS’ of its own. To have one is to love it. Plastic blenders, if you own(ed) one or more are cheap (but not inexpensive), prone to failure with serious use, and can be toxic. We can finally make our own smoothies the way we’ve always dreamt and they are thick and rich like no other. Start by adding 2/3 cup of unsweetened apple juice. We store frozen fruit and use two cups bananas, 3 or 4 strawberry’s, 16 blueberries, 2 peaches and 2 mangos and put these all in a large bowl on the counter. Add all at once (while still somewhat frozen) into blender over apple juice, and then pour 1/2 cup of almond milk over all. Turn blender to smoothie, hit the button and hold our ears. Voilà! Prepare to swoon & spoon! Bottom line: A smoothie worthy of your vows❣️ And now back to our regularly scheduled honeymoon.
Bad Design

Whoever designed this blender doesn't make smoothies. 1) 40 seconds, the smoothie choice on blender, doesn't completely blend all the ingredients in 40 seconds. 2)the glass jar: why make so many ridges. We, smoothie lovers, like to take a spatula and scrape every last bit of smoothie. The ridges make that difficult. 3)The blade is so hard/impossible to remove. It traps a lOT of the smoothie whereby you have to use a spatula to dig out the smoothie in order to get all leftover out. BAD DESIGN. 4)Glass is nice, but very heavy 5)No on & off switch? What's with that? No brainer, include one. 6)I would not recommend this blender. This is a warranty replacement for my Cuisinart blender I had for one year. That blender was discontinued and this is the replacement. The previous blender did a much better job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well for a month, no issues founded. More powerful than my previous blender but a litter bit more noisy as well. Seems well made. The Clean function makes clean very easy. Recommended.

We bought this blender primarily because of the glass container, replacing our current Vitamix (without glass container). We are liking the intermittent pulse feature. Love the white appliance. It is also easy to clean. Only drawback - recommends not leaving plugged in? Hence the 4* .. otherwise 5*

I have been making smoothies for years and this one works the best plus the glass jar is more healthy than the plastic that wears off and get ingested into your body. I also notice it liquifies the veggies and fruit much better so better fro digestion I would imagine. I love it!

I loved the look of the glass jar and the sturdiness of the machine. However, I was unable to remove the blade assembly. I had someone else try and they couldn’t either so I returned the unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recently been using my new Cuisinart Hurricane 48 oz. Glass Jar Blender and absolutely love it! This blender is very powerful and blends up the smoothest milkshakes and smoothies. I have also used this blender to make iced coffees, tomato sauce and margaritas. I love that this blender has so many different settings because it takes all of the guesswork out of making iced/blended drinks and makes the process easy - I can just select “smoothie”, “ice crush”, “milkshake”, or “cocktail” and press the button to begin! The countdown timer tells me how many seconds are left before my drink/food will be ready. It’s also very helpful to clean the blender using the “clean” setting - this makes cleaning the glass jar so quick and no need to get close to the sharp blades. This blender is made of very high quality materials - a lid that is tight fitting and doesn’t leak, a durable glass jar, stainless steel blades, powerful motor and a heavy duty , slip resistant base.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this blender because it looks nice in my kitchen and also works great. I make a lot of smoothies and sauces so this works well in my kitchen and has become my go-to kitchen tool. I like that the blender is glass because it has a more fancy appeal and blends things more confidently.
Great, but wish it was bigger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cuisinart Hurricane Blender has been a good addition to my kitchen. The glass jar gives it a sturdy feel, which I prefer over plastic, and it’s been reliable for making smoothies, crushing ice for cocktails, and blending sauces. The integrated lid has a removable measuring cup, which is great for adding ingredients while blending. It comes with several speed settings and six presets, and they’ve been easy to use. I’ve mainly been using the smoothie and ice crush presets, and they’ve both worked well. However, I do wish the jar was a bit bigger. It’s fine for most things, but I’ve found myself having to blend in batches when making larger quantities. Also worth mentioning, the blender is made in China, which isn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s something to consider if you're mindful of where your products come from.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender has amazed me. My first drink was cocktails on my wife's and I anniversary. This blender blended the ice so smoothly into our drinks there were absolutely no chunks. Everything is on the digital dial which makes it way more convenient. It has an ice crush setting that pulses everything perfectly. It also has a cocktail setting that blends perfectly if you have less ice. On the Milkshake setting our milkshakes blended together to a creamy consistency. Everything is timed and it shuts off on its own and it has made everything perfect. When I made soup the other night I blended part of the soup to make a thicker base. This chopped the veggies in my soup base and it tuned out perfectly. To clean, you add soap and water and blend on the Clean setting, then follow up with water to rinse. It gets it clean every time and I haven't had to put it into the dishwasher yet. I 100% recommend this powerful amazing blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced my ninja blender that kept breaking with this one and I’m glad I did! I have used it for smoothies, soup, sauces, and margaritas and it has blended seamlessly! It is also short enough to fit under my upper cabinets and matches nicely so I don’t feel like I have to store it away between uses.
