The blender itself isn’t too terrible. Does the job. However, despite thoroughly cleaning it every time, the seal quickly grew black mold. Unless you take the seal off every clean, water gets under and food does too, leading to more mold. Mind you, I’ve only had this blender a few months and used it maybe once a week.

I had this for about a year and a half and while it worked fine for most of that time, its starting to break down. I expected more from a top brand like Ninja and wouldn't care if this was a cheaper blender. The little notches on the large smoothie cup, that fit into the notches on the motor base to lock it in place while blending, shave off a little more with every blend, that now when it is blending it slips out of the grooves of the base every now and then and stops blending. And the little bits of plastic are left and I'm afraid of them getting in the food. And today after using it seems the blade assembly broke/loosened and is releasing oil now. It looks to only be on the outside but idk if it's in the food too. This happened to me on a cheaper blender too. Finally this thing has been a major pain to clean, ESPECIALLY if you use the biggest cup with the Twisti function. That cup lid has so many holes in it for water to get stuck and there's a gasket u need to take out if u wanna clean it good. The twisting mechanism is hard to clean under. The cups are ok to clean. The blade assembly is a pain to clean bc there is a gasket that u need to take out if u wanna clean it good, I need to use a metal pick to get it out, and then a little brush to clean in the groove and around the blades. I clean by hand so maybe it's easier for a dishwasher. Also I don't know if ninja intends for u to take the gasket out of the blade assembly bc there's no way to unless u have a pick thing, and I didn't use to but it started to smell. It's also super loud and it seems to have gotten louder lately. Overall not pleased with a ninja product.

Less than a year out, after maybe 2 smoothies a month, this thing no longer works-the lid blew off and busted. Literal screws were on my kitchen floor. Just found out I’m past the return window even though Target allegedly allows returns for 1 year post purchase. Super. Awesome. /s

It overheated after one minute.Displayed an error.Liquid was smoking hot.This thing is loud as a jet engine.I am not sure this is safe to use for longer than a few minutes.Blade is small and if you're trying to blend something thicker its not gonna work.Twisti feature does not help at all.

Figured out why it was called the Twisti after I purchased it! You can twist this little knob at the top of the lid during the blending process to help all ingredients get down to the blade. Fantastic feature! Exactly what I wanted, works great. Not overly loud for the motor that it has! Love how washable everything is, even the base (not washable obviously) has a sealed interior for easy wipe up.

The photo looks like it comes with two blades so that you can use more than one cup, but it only came with one.

I use it every day to prepare my drink. I am very pleased . It just has too much sound. Apart from that it is very useful. There is an extra cover inside to use as a title. It is also fixed directly to the kitchen counter. There is something like silicone under the machine. I generally like Ninja products. Since it is ergonomic, it does not take up much space.

This blender is fantastic. However its very loud! sounds like a shop vac when your blending, But other then that its fantastic.

Bought this product few months back. I was surprised at how loud it is, and how hard it was to get the top on and off. This morning the top actually broke.

I have not used this blender extensively, yet. But a couple things I wish I knew before I purchased it; First off, its finicky to put together before using. Most modern blenders have the blades attatched to the jar, you need to put on the lid, drop the jar into the base/motor. This one has the traditional screw on blades - but honestly, this part is not the issue. After you screw on the blades to use, the jar screws into the base, and that process feels clunky. And the lid screws onto the jar, which also feels clunky. Maybe it wouldn't feel as clunky if the materials weren't made of very cheap-feeling plastic. Maybe its because the angle of which the items start and finish in the screw-in/out process is slightly odd. Not positive, but I'm not a fan of this design and feature choice. Second, there are no clear cleaning instructions. Most modern blenders will tell you to add warm water and a drop of soap to the jar, and turn on the blender (many times with a dedicated cleaning function/button). This blender just says that most parts should not be put in the dish-washer and instead handwashed, and the parts that you can put in the dishwasher are only safe on the top shelf. Thirdly, this is a very powerful blender that weighs next to nothing. My last two blenders prior to this one claimed to have substantially less power and weighed four-times as much. This blender is claiming 1600 watts, but I have found a source that tested this and states that it actually only runs at 1100 watts... This is still a very powerful blender for the price. The main issue is not the false advertising on the power. The base has suction cups, obviously because of how light this device is, it is prone to move around the counter when blending. Well, it still moves around the counter a bit, even with those suction cups fully engaged. I imagine it would be a lot worse with out that feature. Lastly, and I think might be the reason I return this blender. There is no speed control. Period. There are 7 buttons; start/stop, pulse, and 5 preset function buttons. I tested all five of those buttons, they all seem to turn the blades on and off in various patterns. While the patterns seem to be slightly different. And the timer/countdown is different, the max speed of the blades in all of these functions seem to be the same. The start/stop and pulse seem to just turn the blades on to their highest speed. Occationally I like to emulsify ingredients. I can do this with my handmixer, but since I had blenders (in the past) that could spin their blades slow enough, I sarted to use blenders for this process. Funny enough, there is a mayo recipe in the quick-start guide. Typically mayo needs to emulsify (blend at a lower speed), so I will be testing this before I make my final decision on returning. Other note(s)... I read in many other reviews, complaining about the noise. I think blenders are just noisy in general. This blender seems to be quieter than my last one that was not as powerful. So I will not deduct any points of this review based on noise. Also, it is far too soon for me to comment on the longevity of this device. It feels rather cheap. Many people claim it barely lasts over a year. My honest opinion, when I have more money, I'm buying a much nicer and much more expensive blender. This is not the cheapest blender, on the market, but it is far closer in price to a cheap blender than a high-end blender that would come with a 5 or 10 year warranty.

Was ok for first few months. After that: 1. Started leaking oil 🤒. We replaced blender cap and blade. 2. Broke right after the warranty lapsed. Overall a cheap product, don’t waste your money and risk health on this junk. Ninja weren’t even helpful when we called customer care. They offered 15% in replacing this. Even with that discount it is overpriced

Besides this being noisy. I like the effectiveness of it. Wish it had more features

this product is very dangerous! First of all, there is no protection whatsoever. If you haven't closed the lid and turned on the device, it works! There are blades inside, and they can easily injure! We have many Ninja mixers and blenders. But they all have protection; they don't start working if the lid is not closed. Why does this product have such a feature of operating with the lid open? It's elementary dangerous. I almost got injured when I opened the lid to mix the ingredients in the blender and accidentally pressed the button, and it started work ! It's just abnormal and unacceptable. Regardless, such a product should be immediately removed from sale.

Love it, blends very well. Just buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

I am a big fan of Ninja products. Recently purchased this blender and I cannot be happier with it. I like its compact size and it is very powerful. Also, it is very useful to have 2 cups to go if you are running late somewhere.

The package was all bended on one side, the blender body is all scratched, working fine, but buying something new you expect it to be all nice, right. Target only gave me the option of returning it.

Love my ninja blender! It’s perfect for blending food and making smoothies. The twisti lid makes it perfect for any stubborn food that gets stuck on the sides. Blends really my food really well and has good power.
