The Only Blender I Need

Quiet, smooth blend, fast finish, ease of use, lightweight, simple sleek design, gets the job done and then some. I'm no chef but I like to make a real thick frozen smoothie. I've done some ridiculous experiments and it checks every box. Best blender I've ever owned.

Not as good as I was hoping

I am not very happy with how quickly this overheats. I tried to blend a few batches of smoothies in a row and it overheats and stops working, which is very frustrating. Even my ninja doesn’t do this, and I was hoping the Vitamix would at least be able to keep up with it.

Hello! Sometimes the machine may emit a burning odor and/or stop temporarily because its thermal protector sensed that the machine was about to overheat. If this occurs, we recommend turning the power switch off for up to 45 minutes, allowing the machine to cool down or reset. To avoid overheating your machine in the future, be sure to ramp the machine up to the highest speed within five seconds of turning it on to activate the cooling fan in the motor. Best blender ever

This is one powerful blender. I am not sure why I waited so long except that I do not cook a lot and I figured I didn’t need one this good. When my old one started spitting out tiny pieces of plastic, that was it! I recently went through surgery and was making smoothies more than usual and decided to upgrade instead of settling for mediocre.

Perfect Replacement

We had a more expensive Vitamix for 15 years. When it finally stopped working, we knew we only wanted another Vitamix. With finances tighter, we opted for a less expensive option in this one, but the power and ease are all still there. It works perfectly for our needs--we love it! We use it primarily for fruit & veggie smoothies, oat pancakes, and sauces.

Blender makes smoothies hot

Blender will turn smoothies piping hot when blended for longer then 30 seconds.

Hi, due to the friction caused by the blades spinning so fast, it will eventually heat up your ingredients. That is how you can make soup in a Vitamix! When making a smoothie, we recommend frozen fruit and or ice for a cold result. Smoothies typically take less than a minute to blend and it would take several minutes for frozen ingredients to start warming up. Please call us if you have additional questions.

Smaller than Expected

The blender is really small and doesn’t hold much. I purchased the blender to make food for my 14 yr old with special needs on a puréed diet due to feeding issues, and it takes a lot longer to blend his food using this blender.

Hi, this unit comes with our largest household container, 64 oz. We understand for a blended diet a bigger container would be helpful. Our commercial line offers units with a 1.5 gallon container, that might be better suited for your needs.

So glad I bought this blender

This blender is amazing! I've had Oster blenders and a Ninja blender over the past 15 years. None of them had the power and capacity of this VX1 Vitamix. It makes SMOOTH smoothies, even with fresh kale in the mix. The half-gallon pitcher is so good for making breakfast protein smoothies for my family of 6. It's a breeze to keep clean with the self-cleaning mode, though for really sticky ingredients like peanut butter, sometimes I have to give the sides of the pitcher a quick pass with my scrubbing brush. The blender is loud, but it has a 2.2hp motor, so I'm not at all surprised. Because it blends so quickly, the noise doesn't even matter. So, so glad I bought this blender.

Pricy, but it works!

Once you get past the price, this is the blender to get. I stopped drinking smoothies because fresh fruit is hard to get out here so I use frozen mostly, and other blenders just couldn't handle it. On the advice of a friend, bought this one. Almost choked on the price, but it works and nothing I've had before did so, you get what you pay for!
