Q: If it's wireless, is it wifi or Bluetooth?

submitted by Gbro - 3 months ago
  • A: Hi Gbro, thanks for reaching out about Vivitar Noise Reducing Earmuffs. Vivitar noise-reducing earmuffs are not headphones in the traditional sense, meaning they don't play music or have Bluetooth connectivity. They are primarily designed for hearing protection, offering noise reduction and comfort for various activities like shooting ranges, construction, or studying. Q: Can it fit my 3 month old infant?

submitted by Adivasiti - 4 months ago
  • A: Hi Adivasiti, thanks for reaching out about Vivitar Noise Reducing Earmuffs. It's highly unlikely that the Vivitar Noise Reducing Earmuffs you mentioned are suitable for a 3-month-old infant. When looking at product descriptions for "Vivitar Noise Reducing Earmuffs," they are consistently marketed as "Kids Earmuffs" and often state an age range of "Ages 5+". They are designed for older children, not infants. For a 3-month-old infant, you need earmuffs specifically designed for babies. These have crucial differences: Headband Design: Baby earmuffs often feature a soft, adjustable headband that goes across the forehead, avoiding pressure on the baby's fontanelle (soft spot). Earmuffs for older children or adults typically have a rigid band that goes over the top of the head, which is not safe or comfortable for an infant. Size and Fit: Baby earmuffs are much smaller and are designed to provide a snug but gentle fit around an infant's ears, without gaps that would compromise noise reduction. Weight: Baby earmuffs are very lightweight to be comfortable for delicate infant heads. Brands that make noise-reducing earmuffs specifically for infants (often starting from 0 or 3 months) include: Alpine Muffy Baby Baby Banz Mack's Baby Muffs Mumba Baby Earmuffs Always check the age range and features carefully when purchasing hearing protection for an infant to ensure it's safe and effective. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Target doesnt care about customer satisfaction any more, and these don't work!

Dont work at all. No noise canceling. Tried to return two of these to Target and they had the nerve to reject my return, even though one was returned never opened, and the other used twice (to test it out).

Do not work

Do not waste your money on these. Putting them over your ears make absolutely no difference than having the off.

We like them!

We like them! For $5 a pair, we were happy to snag a pair for both our little daughters to have on hand when we watch air shows. And they like wearing them, so we’re glad we snagged them.

Perfect look

These are amazing they fit great on my 9 year old and do not make him look like an alien(little head big headphones) like some of the other brands that are so big and bulky i have even started using these at work so my Special Education students don't look diffrent than the regular education students and their head phones.

Trash

Does absolutely nothing. Does not reduce noise at all. I put them on to test them and there was literally no difference in sound. Complete waste of money. Do not buy.

AVOID: Can't even filter out whispering

These headphones were purchased for my 6mo for 4th of July fireworks. After she went to bed, we used these for our 5yo for the real fireworks once it got dark. She is very sensitive to loud noises and said these didn’t work at all. I tried them. They fit comfortably, but do not even filter out whispering. There is no difference between what I can hear with them versus without them. Don’t waste your money on this - go for a pricier product that will actually work!

Love!

Bought these for my daughter to use during church services because the music is too loud for her. She loves them and wears them around the house now so she doesn't have to listen to anything I say!

Does not work

I just bought these for my son who is getting sensitive to sounds with his autism. They do not work. I tested them and so did my husband. I'll be returning them.

Cute and somewhat functional

These headphones are very cute. They adjust to different sized heads, which is nice. However, my four year old was playing with them and the cushioned part of the headphones comes off very easily- they slip right off if pulled, there is nothing securing them besides the elasticity of the faux leather. They can be reattached but it's a pain. Probably not great for younger kids who won't listen to directions.

Dont buy these, they are useless.

These ear muffs were on sale for $5 so I grabbed them for my niece. These do NOT work. They definitely don’t reduce noise by 10 decibels as claimed. As another reviewer said, you actually get better results using your hands:/ Will be returning these to the store.

Absolutely useless

These headphones are super cute but they are completely useless. They do not muffle sounds at all. You honestly get more noise reduction by putting your hands over your ears.

Doesn't cancel any noise

I have a kiddo with Down syndrome and autism so we depend on these in certain situations. Bought them to have on hand in our camper and the fireworks were still so loud to her… put them on myself and basically no noise cancellation. So disappointing. Bought two pair and wasted $10.

Helpful earmuffs for kiddos

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love how cute these noise reducing earmuffs are! My son is a DJ and these are excellent for my girl for when we go to his concerts. The only reason for a 4 star rating is because they don't quite fit her head yet. They are a little big, but she will grow into them. They are well-padded and comfortable to wear. As far as I can tell, they do a good job of reducing loud noises. They are especially helpful in the car.
