Mild heat with notes of chewing tobacco (really). These pickles don’t taste like Frank’s, and I wouldn’t recommend them.

I must say it's a Great spicy pickle but the weird thing is the 1st couple pickles I ate from the jar went from really hot and not my favorite to ok the second one is better now it's the next day that I'm writing this and just ate two more and somehow was way better then the night before maybe after opening it and letting it get some air and get cold in the fridge 10x better best pickles with heat I've ever had

It tasted like black licorice! I didn't even get any dill flavor. It was heavy black licorice or anise flavor. I had a half of one, my boyfriend had half, and we threw the whole jar in the trash. Very disappointing.

These are worse hot pickles I have ever had. There's not much favor other than an after taste of Franks. They were awful tasting. I had 2 right out of the jar after getting home, and 2 cold one on a hamburger had to take off. I love spicy pickles, but these are awful!!!! Don't waste ur money on these, very disappointing.

I’m thinking the negative reviews are coming from people that may have gotten spoiled jars? My jar was so delicious. Slightly spicy, slightly acidic, no sweetness that I could detect. So full of flavor with great crunch! I could eat the entire jar in one sitting they’re so good.

Honestly worst pickle I've ever had, I had to throw it out. I was expecting a spicy flavor. These tasted awkward and bizzare. I love spicy pickles and I love extreme hot sauce and franks. Didn't taste either like a pickle or like franks. I was so put off that I came here to write this review.

Worst hot pickle ever. Weak tasting sweet pickle with chemical tasting hotness. No one could finish a pickle. Thoroughly unpleasant. Jar did not indicate it was a sweet pickle. This is not a kosher dill pickle. Vlasic pickles are usually good. This is not.

I'm a lover of spicy pickles with a little zing so I thought I would try these Vlasic Red Hot pickles. In my opinion, they don't taste like pickles at all. I thought the jar had spoiled because of the the pungent smell and taste. My suggestion: get back in the lab and work on the formula! Sorry guys, but I won't be buying this brand again.

Bought these because I had the homemade version and loved them. These were disgusting. They tasted like they were spoiled and had a terrible aftertaste. They had spicy flavor but did not taste at all like Frank's Red Hot. It took forever to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

It’s hard to explain how the flavor builds. The pickles are super crunchy and I like garlic back notes. I would definitely recommend.

They don’t particularly remind me of the taste of Frank’s hot sauce, but they are still wonderful and I am dreading running out already.
