submitted byWahl Advocate - 3 years agoA: Since this unit does not specify "waterproof" like other WAHL shavers, I would NOT recommend this for wet-shaving. However, you could try it if you used very little shaving cream and did not let any fluids fall into the shaver body. Then remove the shaving head, rinse and dry it thoroughly. Better if you purchase a shaver that is specified as waterproof!

A: This Lithium Ion trimmer takes 60 minutes to fully charge to give you over 3 hours of run time. It does have a quick charge option - Quick charge means for every minute you charge the trimmer, you can get approximately 3 minutes of usage. This item is such an omprovement over the Wahl peanut that I have used for years. The number of accesories is vital to trimming a beard, the nose hair and the hair that grows in the ears. This item is a little smeller then the Peanut but its great advantage is that it is cordless which makes the use of it a lot easier. I loved my peanut but this trimmer is so much handier to use and charge!

It broke as soon as it touched my husbands head. Easy to put it back on and try again but I did that several times to try to finish the job. It also doesn’t shave anything, I could go back in the same area 10 times with it shaving nothing. Returned it broken

This thing is a piece of junk, from day one seemed much cheaper than my old Wahl trimmer. Lasted 1 year now doesn’t charge or stay on more than 15 seconds. Total waste of money.

Wahl is cutting corners and using cheap materials for these products. I have had a 3 in past that were awesome. This is #4 is junk. Cuts face, pulls/tugs when using period - face for beard trimming used to be breeze. This thing is garbage. Have used 3 times and every time you’d think I handed a face razor to a toddler and let them go nuts. Blades are oiled, clean, etc. Only one positive thing is battery charge time and use is still good as always. Beyond that - pass on this one.

Really fun when it stops cutting half way through the job! Date will love that!! The trimmer worked great with moderate use for about the first 2 months. Then started missing more and more hair - now it won't hardly cut at all. I've cleaned, oiled, disassembled, reassembled and am met with the same issue.
