    Firstly, I want to reassure you that nothing, absolutely nothing, matters more to us than you or your baby’s skin. Our company was started because of a father’s concern for his daughter’s sensitive skin, so we know how important this is to parents and people who use our products daily. You can find this information on all our old and new packs, trace amounts of Benzalkonium Chloride end up in our product as a result of the manufacturing process of the fruit extract. The level that exists in WaterWipes is extremely small and has no impact on safety of the product. Our wipes contain 0.1% fruit extract which in turn contains trace amounts of Benzalkonium Chloride so the overall content in the finished pack is negligible. To give you an idea, it can also be found in traces within Children’s nasal drops, Children’s plasters and some Baby bum creams. Benzalkonium Chloride is deemed safe by the EU Cosmetics Regulation at levels of 0.1%  (EC 1223/2009). As our product contains a fraction of this maximum limit, within the fruit extract which makes up for 0.1% of our product, it is safe for newborn babies and furthermore is fully compliant with the regulations.   Given the negligible amount of Benzalkonium Chloride in our product, it is not classed as an ingredient. But we believe in this day and age that companies owe it to their customers to declare information beyond what they are legally obliged to. We pride ourselves on making wipes that are gentle to use on new born baby’s skin. Our wipes have been approved by the Skin Health Alliance and Allergy Uk and have been awarded the National Eczema Association of America's Seal of Acceptance, all of whom only approve products suitable for use on sensitive skin.

    They are expensive! Smell so strong almost like hand sanitizer and are small! I had to switch my baby back to her wipes and i have to finish them because i don’t like throwing them away so they have become my hand wipes after makeup or skincare

    While they were great for my baby’s sensitive skin, the packaging is awful. The wipes come out one at a time, they don’t pull the next wipe up with them. In addition, they come out still perfectly folded up…..so you’ve got a squirming and screaming baby while you’re fighting to pull and unfold wipes one at a time….

    We are sorry you have experienced difficulty with the dispensing of WaterWipes, please let me try and explain why our wipes dispense as they do. Most baby wipes contain soaps and lubricants to help with the dispensing of the wipes from the pack. When we set out to develop WaterWipes, our aim was to be the only baby wipe which was as close to cotton wool and water as possible. Because WaterWipes don’t contain any chemical lubricants, the wipes were “joined together” and coming out of the pack in a continuous clump. To solve this, we changed our wipes to non-interfolded. The start of each wipe still lies in the centre each time and should be easy to locate. Although this has improved the dispensing we understand that clumping can still happen. We know this is not “ideal” for that perfect dispensing action, but we felt that keeping WaterWipes completely safe for even new born babies’ skin which is the most important thing. We want to reassure you that we are aware of the frustrations this may cause and that we are constantly looking to improve our WaterWipes for both convenience and customer experience.
