Works fine, quiet
No issues. Quiet most of the time. Chose 6TB specifically for the noise rating as they live in our bedroom currently.

Excellent drives so far
I paired 2 of these drives for my QNAP TS-264 2-Bay High-Performance Desktop NAS. They rattle some but as long as they work and keep working I will be happy with them. In the future I would like to replace them with SSD when I can afford to do so. I can write to these drives and read from them fast. When I call on a saved movie to watch they provide the data without it buffering or lagging. The ultimate test will be how long they last.

Hello, We're sorry to hear about your user experience with the WD Red Pro Hard Drives. Based on your concern, if the drive is not showing up on the computer then it could be due to insufficient power supply to the drive for operation. To isolate the cause of the drive failure, it is recommended to connect the drive as secondary storage via SATA port to the computer and check the drive for any damage or defect. We recommend connecting the drive as secondary storage via SATA port to the computer, to test the health of the drive using Western Digital Dashboard for Windows. "Western Digital Dashboard: How to Install and Use" https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31759#subject2 If the test is unfortunately inconclusive and you just purchased the drive then you should be able to return it to the place of purchase. However, if you are past their return policy, you can create an RMA through WD and replace the drive under warranty if necessary. "How to Get an RMA to Replace a Defective Product, Obtain a Power Supply, or USB Cable for a WD Product": https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10336 You may also get in touch with our technical support team directly to elaborate on the issue along with error screenshots. Long time WD customer
I’ve been using WD drives for more than 30 years. As an IT infrastructure consultant before I retired I spec’d in WD on every server config, thousands of them. I currently have WD Red+ in three Synology NAS on my home network. They perform as expected.

Excellent Value and Good Performance
I wanted to update an older drive that I use to store movies, both to increase storage space and to improve performance. This drive have faster read and write speeds and a bigger cache and additional space for future needs. It is also quiet.

Good product
I received the big box and two small boxes securely packaged. No issue with Packaging. Guess WD people complained.
