About the Book

"Have you ever had moments when your words got the better of you? Maybe you knew how much something would hurt, but you said it anyway because it felt good in the moment. Maybe you're fighting a habit of complaining or yelling, when you really want to be a person who speaks with kindness and patience. Or maybe you stay silent because you're never quite sure what to say. Whatever your "maybe" may be, you are in the right place. Sarah Molitor understands your struggle to speak words that matter. As a wife, mom, and the creator of the popular Modern Farmhouse Family online community, Sarah has learned firsthand that, yes, words can hurt-but they can also help and heal. In Well Said, she uses authentic, relatable stories paired with biblical truth to help readers learn how to create a habit of speaking life-giving words that build others up, use their words to create grace-filled, positive relationships, develop a healthy, balanced approach to social media (and find their wisdom filter), feel equipped to use words to forgive and reconcile so they can live freely and fully . . . and so much more. Well Said helps you explore what it means to speak words that are more than just constructive and kind but also direct you to the very heart of Jesus. Sarah will be the trusted friend who walks alongside you, encouraging you to discover God's true heart for the words you speak every day"--

Review Quotes

Modern Farmhouse Family blogger Molitor chronicles her struggle to understand "when to use my words--and when to keep my mouth shut" in this candid debut guide to "effective and life-giving" communication . . . Weaving in warts-and-all anecdotes from marriage and motherhood, Molitor assures readers that whether their "struggle with words stems from past hurts, habits, or carelessness," they can learn to both hold back when necessary and use their voice to build others up. Chatterboxes, overtalkers, and the quick-tempered will find assurance and inspiration.--Publishers Weekly

Sarah makes herself relatable and helps to make you feel that you are not alone. Excellent and easy read. Can be picked up and read in between chasing children and the busy life.

Must Read!! Sarah shares some of her “less than” moments with readers. She then shares the words of wisdom that helped her overcome using her words as weapons. The book reads like a conversation with a dear friend. Get your highlighter, sticky notes and page markers!! You will want to take notes!

Currently reading this book! Sarah is such a real, honest, and inspiring person. I love listening (audio book) to her share her story of how she came to learn to use her words wisely. She shares her challenges, which I relate so much to, and shares tools and truth from the word of God to help us learn how to use our words to speak life. In a world where we are so quick to speak, I think this is must read for all! I also love hearing about her parents advice and stories, they have so much wisdoms to give!

I started this book hoping to get biblical advice on realistic ways to tame my tounge. I did find that but this book is so much more than that it has so much on just how to have good healthy relationships with those around you. Sarah's heart to help those who shines through she definitely thought and prayed over each chapter. I am going to have my teenage boys read it as well to help them I think both men and women of all ages will find this helpful!

Words Matter

Here's a great quote from Sarah: "Our words should matter to us because they matter to God." Words. They are used all the time. Used to hurt, heal, or help. How do you use your words? Sarah gives some great examples of how to change our use of words and even to train our children how to use their words. She takes us back to The Word as our foundation. I highly recommend this powerful, yet simple book.

Sometimes you read a book that truly feels like it was written for you in that moment. This was one for me! Highly recommend and make sure you have a notepad near by, highlighter, or be prepared to listen on repeat if you like audio books! Truly a great read with lots of little nuggets worth holding onto!

Encouragement to use our words to love others well

I knew immediately I wanted to read this book based on the title alone… this is an area I, personally, desire to grow in. As Sarah also points out, words are something we all can use to love others well! I was blown away by the breadth of this book. Yes, it is a book about using our words to encourage, but it covers a lot of ground from motherhood, marriage, social media, reading the Word to influence our words, and even how our God given communication style allows us to love and encourage others in a way specific to our gifting (that was my favorite section). I highly recommend, and it would be especially relatable and valuable for other moms.

A must-read for those who seek help with the words they speak (and even don't speak) to others around them. As one who finds it hard to sit down and read books for fun, I am so glad I chose to read hers. It was so easy to keep reading. Sarah's meaningful message of choosing words that uplift others has been so helpful for my journey. She shares raw and real moments from her early life and gives lots of examples and ways to speak with purpose into our own family and friends.

There were many times in the book I felt like Sarah was speaking to me. If Sarah is to write anymore books, I will defiantly be reading them.
