WICKED: The Official Visual Companion – by Universal Pictures Target Exclusive (Hardcover)

I hardly ever leave reviews, but this was book was just extremely disappointing. It’s all just screen shots from the movie. Some are blurry & just low resolution quality. $28 is criminal (regular $40 is even more criminal) Definitely not worth it at all & do not recommend. I’m sure there are way better movie companions out there.

What a fun book! Love the images and letters

It is a really nice book for collection purposes, but unfortunately some of the pictures are not very good and there are no letters written to each other as described in the details of the book.

I am so happy with this book! Really cool pictures, showing an inside look into the movie magic. I brought it home and my family was bickering over who got to read it more and was the hottest thing in my house for a few days. There are so many interesting pieces from the book that add to my movie experience and I'm so thankful to have it in my home library. I loved it so much I went and bought a second book to give to my sister for Christmas, I know she'll love it as much as I do.

I purchased this item in the store. It was shrink wrapped so you couldn't see anything besides the outer cover. The cover is high quality, but that's about it. It's a hardcover that's a beautiful color & textured. The poster is disappointing because it has Elphaba on one side & Glinda on the other, so you'd have to choose which side to display (who doesn't want both?!). The photo quality of the posters is great, should have included 2 separate of each beloved character. The picture quality, as other reviewers mentioned, is hideoteous. Looking through the pages in order, most of the first 10 pages are blurry. Some pictures you wouldn't even know what's pictured if you hadn't watched the movie (flying monkeys breaking through glass ceiling). I would guess at least 2/3 of the pictures in the book are poor quality. The book is like someone watched the movie, paused it every 30 seconds. & then took a picture of the paused screen with a poor quality camera. It also has very short quotes from the movie that match the photos dispersed throughout. Save yourself a clock tick & pass on this one. I ended up returning it.

I rarely leave reviews, but this one is necessary. The photo quality in this book is extremely poor, blurry, dark, and just disappointing overall. I can’t believe Target is selling it for $40. I would not recommend purchasing it.

So many blurry pictures, I was excited to get this and then disappointed when I opened it to see it’s just an oversized picture book with blurry pictures from the first movie. I thought it was both movies and I thought it would be more of a “visual guide” like they used to release for movies. This is just sad. I’m glad I got it on sale.

HORRIBLE quality! For the price, I extra lot more. We’ve never been so disappointed in a book before. I was extremely shocked when looking through it because a large majority of the pictures are blurry, the photos I’m showing came out clearer than they are in the actual book. There’s barely any words too. As huge Wizard of Oz & Wicked fans, this was a big let down and mistake of a purchase.

This book is such high quality I love the pictures inside

I would blame this on Universal Pictures but its more my fault for just impulse buying something I thought was more interesting. Needless to say, I'm not interested in keeping a book that has stills from the first movie when I will likely own the movie for life. I would also turn to the movie before I open this book to get my Wicked craving satisfied. I would agree with the term money grab for this product.

I was so excited to have this book and am shocked at how bad the quality of it is. I never thought to read the reviews before purchasing and immediately returned it when I saw that others had the same experience and it wasn't just a defect. The pictures are all pixelated, some so dark that they can't even fill the full page. There's zero companion writing, just excerpts of popular lyrics and dialogue. Super bummed out.

This is garbage. It’s a series of screen grabs from the first movie that vary widely in quality. There are almost no words at all. It reminds me of something I would have seen at a scholastic book fair in the 80s.

This is a book of re-printed pictures. Many of the photos are blurry and not crisp or vibrant. Some of them cut off in the middle of the binding on the inside. It was not well thought out or executed. Clearly a quick money grab. Don't waste your hard earned cash.

I’m surprised 😲 how much hate this book is getting. Yes there are a few photos that are blurry but for the most part I thought most pictures were good quality. This is just a picture book of the first movie and a few from part 2. Before buying I did my research and realized this was just basically the first movie and I understood it was more of a photo album. I knew for the most part what I was getting. I also ordered mine when target had there deal on books. I paid less than $20. As a Wicked fan for many years I am happy with this purchase and I believe any die hard fan would love this!
